Just a Kid From Chicago
Too early to make any proclamations one way or another this early in the season (besides Noah needing to re-evaluate whether he wants to continue to play basketball as a profession). Having said that, the defense and the effort to play it, seems to be there.... If Fred do what he was brought here to do, which is to get the offense right, we could be a problem...

That was a fun ass game. We match up really well with the Warriors, I'm really hoping we meet up in the Finals.

This team is so frustrating to watch. Too many soft/one-dimensional players and an oft-injured star.
I actually like Hoiberg (though his late game substitutions tonight were :patrice:) but it doesn't seem like we have the personnel to play consistently on both ends, which will be our downfall in the postseason.

Precisely! Warriors are not only a great team because they have a star like Curry, but they are great because they have the deepest versatile wingmen in the league. Klay, Barnes, Iguodala, Livingston, and Green(who can defend three positions). GarPax need to make a play for Nicolas Batum by maybe dangling Taj, Snell, and a first round pick. After Jimmy the Bulls have limited depth at this position. Snell is to clumsy or scared, McDermott has decent o but terrible d, and Dunleavy is old and coming off back surgery. Noah will not get us anything in return because teams no about his condition, so you have you move Taj. Rose and Butler can work, but Rose has to stay on the court so this can work, but we need a guy to take pressure off Jimmy on the wings. I think that guy can be Nicolas Batum. If we move Taj, then Bobby Portis can begin to get quality minutes that will groom him to be a force for this team next season. GarPax have to stop being stubborn and make a move for wing depth or it will be the same result as last season. Cleveland beat us with there support players on the wings. We need a guy that can defend and score well at the wing position.

Batum should have been pursued in the off season, but in fairness to gar pax he really was having a bad season in Portland, but he is doing much better in Charlotte. Garpax don't like to take the risk on guys not performing, although my opinion has always been get those guys for cheap because situations can bring the best out of players

But we def need to look to add wing or 2 , to the roster. The guys who bytched up last night are going to do the same vs cleveland etc. Guys like snell doug and niko are a couple of years aways before they can be counted on, and by that time hell snell might be out the league. I just don't like the make up of the squad, if we really going for it all then consolidate the youngsters for quality role players, but If not, then consider pau and noah likely will be cashed out the off season and try to get something going forward for them and in a couple years we should be ready to really go.

But as currently constructed we got too much to fix to hope we can really go for it all this season.

All things considered tho, we really played well last night, warriors just had what we didn't and that was role players you can count on, vs us who going to have to rely heavily on jimmy and rose in big games.

Only things I expect to see when Noah checks in at this point are OC back door passes out of bounds and fukked up fast breaks that he tries to lead
