Women have children and gain more fat than muscle on average so women have way more reason to get fat.

-eat a plant based whole food diet & avoid fast food, candy,soda.. minimize red meats to 1x a week if you need a damn burger that bad

-do this for 6 months

-profit

-add exercise if u want but diet is key here. It's all you need

For them it's literally as simple as not eating as much/eating healthy

For us men we get frail doing that without lifting but women deadass don't need a day in the gym

Steak (assuming it has no nitrites/nitrates and is grass fed) is a far better nutritive than nuts. Nuts, whole grains, and legumes, are high in phytic acid content - also referred to as an antinutrient - which chelate micronutrients (minerals), blocking the body's ability to absorb them. Zinc, iron, copper, manganese, etc., are all affected. This is the reason some people soak these foods (which is a waste of time in my opinion) to break down the phytic acid content. Their protein bioavailability is not that great to begin with - far less than an egg or a piece of chicken, and they're not a complete protein unless combined with some glyphosate-laden wheat or corn. It's best to just leave these foods alone.

Fat loss is heavily dependent on diet, not exercise - you're right. Although, combining the two would be one's best bet.

You can lose weight on a caloric deficit but its slow and not healthy as hitting the gym.

You keep moving the goalposts champ so I'm going to just leave you with the proper info so you can learn on your own and save face.

Women have lower muscle mass lower test making it extremely hard to lose weight with just diet unless the diet is extreme eg. anorexia starvation diet or cocaine and cigarettes(speeds up cns and speeds up metabolism/catabolism of nutrients) model diet both with deleterious effects on the woman's health possibly making her infertile.

So I'm going to conclude with you're incorrect getting in shape is the goal not simply losing weight and getting in shape takes much more than trading out steak for cashews. Don't mistake newbie gains or losses with actual change in health.
