Its time to admit that the 00's was a fun decade.

The good brehs of PHI
The LAST of the times you could hit the club and actually dance with chicks

The only decade where the DJ could play East Coast  West Coast :myman: Dirty South :blessed: Reggae / Dancehall :ehh: and R&B :ohhh: plus for east coast brehs like me The Baltimore music bounce had chicks shakin they ass beggin for someone to get behind them :mjlit:

Before IG had basic chicks thinkin they were supermodels :blessed:

Before streaming took off and you still cared about the radio :blessed:

Also, that decade had two super milestone moments. EVERYONE remembers where they were during 9/11 :snoop:

And of course, EVERYONE remembers where they were when :obama: got elected.

The 00's was also the birth of Black Excellence and had the GOAT black reality / live shows: 106 & Park, Cita's World, The Basement with Tigga, College Hill, Baldwin Hills and everyone remembers BET Uncut! :whew:

Eh, the slow death of R&B, the rise of one hit wonder ringtone rap stars, the end of black radio and television

The Bush years, the introduction of Fox News style of entertainment news reporting, the decline of print media...

Compared to the 80’s, the 00’s was a post apocalyptic wasteland :francis:
Now that you mention it, they did away with the Afternoon Weekday Cartoons along with Saturday Morning cartoons

Man, we was still playing outside in the early 2000’s, riding bikes around the neighborhood. You had a little internet, and the chat rooms were cool. Fashion was a little too heavy on the baggy side, but I ain’t gone front like I wasn’t in a 3x tall tee, some baggy jeans, and a pair of filas or g-Nike’s.

I miss that time frame between 2000-2009.

All music was free on limewire. Movie's leaked before even hitting the theater. But most people hadn't gone fully digital yet, so I could burn cd's and dvd and sell them to people for a quick buck. Literally a 100 pack of blank cds could earn you as much as selling weed. :pachaha:

Yeah all of this. The 2000’s were pretty underwhelming to me honestly

Now that you mention it, they did away with the Afternoon Weekday Cartoons along with Saturday Morning cartoons

Adding to that, cartoons were going through their own decline around the mid/late 00’s.

Flip to Nickelodeon now and it’s all Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents, flip to Cartoon Network and it’s all Teen Titans Go, flip to Disney Channel and it’s all live action tv shows with Phineas and Ferb sprinkled in.

Main reason I even wanted a Dreamcast was cause my cousins boyfriend in englewood was playing that and PowerStone on it and let me grab a stick

I was a young 16 year old breh living in the hood and was BALLS DEEP in Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast so that aint true. Me and my homies was on that joint tough back then.

Only difference is you had to be lowkey with being a nerd because it wasnt as acceptable then as it is today.
