Having someone rely on you for their happiness fukking sucks. It's creates unrelenting pressure and for an introvert like me, it just ruins my sense of peace. Especially since women always want to live together and spend all their free time together.

fukk.

Right there with you, breh...

Been with my girl 7 years now and she moved in back in May after losing her job due to COVID. Total down ass ride or die girl, annoying in ways of course but overall very independent, way more positives than negatives, etc.

But I'm hangin on by a thread at this point. I never lived with anyone ever and after 3 months I'm not feeling it. I miss my own space, solo dolo. Solitude. Not having to interact with anyone else in the crib if I'm feeling extra introverted that day.

Some people just aren't built for 24/7 relationships.

Good luck to you brother, tough situation to be in.

Uncertain grounds
Say whatever u want about dating a woman who is already happy or not happy or whatever..doesnt make a difference. If the man has enough charisma and humor then what is happening to OP is inevitable. If you can make the mundane entertaining and put a woman in good spirits..forget about it. Then if you have more than one or two days off consecutively it all starts to unravel.

That pressure to be someone’s happiness is no fukking joke
I went through that. Try spending your money buying gifts, taking her to expensive restaurants, concerts, comedy shows, amusement parks only for her still to find something to complain about. So my conclusion don’t do all of that just focus on you.

Not to mention doing all that and STILL leave you

Romantic friendships/friendships. I usually have someone to go out with when I want to go out to a restaurant, or wherever, a short trip, a walk, ice cream, shopping, whatever. I usually have people who will invite me the same. If I want to spend Valentines Day out, I can, if I want to ask someone to Miami for the weekend, I can/

I have no concerns about commitment, as long as everyone is sanitary (weirder now, but still), and basically all my needs are met for that. I have no desire to be in a "traditional relationship". There's no real reason besides great societal pressure that anyone has to. who even came up with that concept? Obviously, survival and evolution, plus religion, but we aren't in the 1850's anymore.

Dudes complaining all the time about women always seem be in a relationship. If women are so annoying stop dating them.

I can speak from experience that men who claim they want aloofness or less clinginess can’t stand it when they actually get it.

bunch of coli fist pumping. The amount of men who complain when women turn their attention from them to kids or their other passions makes me believe that that many posters here are full of crap.

Idk breh cuz I think she was tryna test me to see what my reaction would be...I normally wouldn't trip over nothing like that but since i think she wanted a reaction i gave her one

Not knowing either person but breh could it be this?

Let's say she didn't "do basketball" before she started dating you.

But you did.

So after all this time of being cooped up and crowded together, she made a frivolous comment about something that's your space.

And it was the straw that broke the camels back?

You'd be surprised at how our minds work breh.

My boy has a current bi coastal relationship the last few months and he says it’s the greatest thing ever

sees his girl once every 2 months for a week or two so it’s enough time to where he starts to miss her and then can see her but once he starts getting tired of her sh/t he can bounce

if every relationship could be like that you’d see way less divorces

She getting dikked down on 2 coasts:dwillhuh:

If you’re in an relationship where you feel pressured to be someone’s happiness, then leave immediately. That’s not an normal relationship.
That was my last relationship, it became a burden for me. At first I was going along making sure she was happy even when it was at my detriment but her last outburst I couldn’t take it anymore and I just told her I couldn’t do it anymore and it was over. She tried everything, said I never loved her, a week later she reach out to talk things through. She acted like nothing happened and thought we would be back together.:gucci:

You shouldn’t have to rely.

She should be happy with herself and you should be happy already.

Having a woman in your life is an add-on, you’re life should be fulfilled with happiness before she comes into it.

The Rucker
Phone said it best on Slow it Down

“Sometimes I think I'm from another world
When I'm trynna tell a woman just exactly where I stand, that,
I want a girl, when I want a girl
And when I don't want a girl
I want a girl who understands that
And that's some hard shyt to explain
To a woman that's in love with you
It's a pitiful thing
Until I had to figure
That I don't wanna play around
But I don't wanna settle down
And that's a man's dilemma”

This has been me my whole adult life :yeshrug:
