well considering the fact that lloyd banks is lyrically miles ahead of j cole and its not even close u sound like a fukking dikkhead for that analogy

and both of them are in my top 5 active rappers right now, they actually might just be 1 and 2.. but to act like lloyd banks is some low level joke shows u dont know what u talking about

dont be mad at banks cuz he put out 2 fire mixtapes and j cole put out an album to a mixed reaction:mjpls:

I fukk with Banks heavy, but let's not act like everybody fukks with him

I wonder how J. Cole feels about how this project is being received...:lupe:

...my feelings would be hurt brehs....this sound like a bucket list project for him and people not feeling it...

although "Change"is my shyt...
Nah theres hipsters and women that will love this and theres a fake intellectual crowd that wants to hold this over your head and shyt on your sophistication as a listener when you say you dont like it. Thats why I said earlier I thought it would do really well in sales.

the reasons a person wouldnt fukk with lloyd banks is not the reasons they wouldnt fukk with j cole

a person wouldnt fukk with lloyd banks because of a preconceived notion that he's a washed up irrelevant rapper

a person wouldnt fukk with j cole because they listened to his music and simply didnt like it, but at least they gave him a chance

the majority of people that ive seen listen to banks' last 2 projects who weren't regular fans of his but decided to give it a chance walked away impressed

I like maybe three songs off this on first listen album did not grab my attention as strong as FHD did.

I honestly enjoyed False Prophets and Everybody Dies a lot more than this whole album.

This here I think those two had me hype for the album but album is just nothing like that energy

u tell Drake and Kendrick to create a whole album damn near by their own abilities with minimal outside help and u think they makin a platinum worthy album the way Cole is able too? foh nikka :mjlol: them nikkas depend on other ppl for their sound, Cole autonomous
What are you even saying?

A lot of the beauty in music comes out of collaboration. And your response is exactly why Cole feels the need to continue to stay inside his comfort zone and not work with musicians and artists.

He doesn't need to feature rappers, but why not singers? Vocalists? As good as you think Cole is, a lot of the records he put out over these last 2 albums could have been even better with better vocalists on them.

And what I said is true. Any current Platinum selling rapper out now could do the same without features. They just actually don't feel the need to seclude themselves for some sake of validation of authenticity.

Prime example...I hated this album when I first heard it and to this day its still :trash:
I feel like I have to say this again for you fam...I am not saying this album is bad its just not a great album...Because its Cole it will get major hype like Ye did with Yeezus...You will say that album is good and it had to grown on you. You let a leech keep growing on you and eventually its gonna take over. Im sorry breh but Yeezus:dwillhuh: cmon fam... I know this Cole album good but its not about to be in my rotation. If I am driving to my folk house about an hour away or so then ill put this on but I cant see where it fits in a regular rotation

Take it back nikka

Yeezus is :wow:

It's not classic, or even one of Ye's best efforts.. but it's one of my favorite Kanye albums lol

Another album I kinda hated prematurely, NoYork by Blu.

I was so disappointed when it leaked.. like the fukk was dude thinkin.. couple years later, I'd take it over Below the Heavens.

The concept is forced too. It literally doesn't make sense for the whole album to be from his friend's perspective. People stay exaggerating.
