I agree with this. I was actually expecting something from Cole and this is a bigger letdown.

This ain't the type of album you skim through tbf, you gotta listen to it properly as a project, I skimmed individual tracks myself and wasn't really feeling it, once I took it in for what it is I enjoyed and respect it a lot more, real solid imo.

Jcole is talented, skillful with the words, and a great guy with a good heart but.... that shyt does not translate into entertainment for me

Yea it's a nice thing to help ya gal out with chores but I don't ever ever ever wanna hear a rap song about that shyt. Just like I don't wanna watch a movie about high school vampires falling in love.
This is not for me at all but I can see how there are some people that will like it.

I appreciate the effort of trying not to have stereotypical subject matter but this wasn't it. When he came out with the controversial slick diss songs I kinda knew this album was gonna be on the soft side.

It's not Cole's best effort but it aint THAT bad. The production is a bit repetitive. Like every beat is a good beat but they all sound the same. Ville Mentality and Change are the standouts to me.

She's Mine Pt 2 had ya boy like . Reminded me of when my daughter was born.

Title track is a masterpiece and is the crown jewel of the album


But I just needed more bars on this album, if he had put Everybody dies, False Prophets on the album this would be less of an issue

Critics don't make my opinion. I do. Y'all stay asking for mainstream acceptance instead of appreciating the real trendsetters in music that get no love out here.

yeah but its not fair to compare both as kendrick is working with the absolute best musicians in the game and is also known for having a true musical mind
