He's genuinely creative. That's rare in this game. Music is fairly formulaic right. There's rappers music i've enjoyed for over a decade and they've done so using 2 or 3 flows for nearly every track they have. They write hooks the same way or whatever.
Young Thug goes out of the prescribed lines. And it's with EVERYTHING. It's not just flows and melodies. His voice, the whole vocal performance is inventive. Dude will shout, scream, croon, everything man. Some songs there's 2 or 3 layers of vocals. When he gets it right - he's a master in full flow, your experiencing something a little out of the ordinary. There's one song where he makes a car reference - then does a skrrrt that sounds more like a wolf howl, for a full 13 seconds which ends at the second car reference. That's dope, creative and not normal. In that same verse he switches up the flow 3 times.
Young Thug - Halftime.
Genius is too far. But he's brought something different to the game. An enigmatic performer. Just straight out singing.. he has 4 or 5 distinctive ways he's done it multiple times.
Subject matter is trash and that's where he needed Quan. I compare them a bit to Clipse. Pusha is the stylish one with the flows and the wordplay. But Malice brings some substance and direction.
