Again, why would one be worried about people not connecting the dots?
Were you dudes frontin about no cacs understanding Wu-tang (but still rockin with it to the max) back in the 90s as well? Worried about N.W.A. being to violent for TV? Were you :merchant: about Nas making a black pride album?

:childplease:

Are there any hiphop heads left? Or has the hiphop heads of yesterday turned into nothing but pop fans which Kamaal feared.

I thought people who fukked with hiphop so much that they actually spent time on a fukking internet board were real hiphop heads, I'm starting to suspect that cats are no different from that non-hiphop head demographic Ebro from hot97 said they targeting :snoop:

Single of the year so far, but yeah, I'm with the consensus here, this is a weird road to take as far as the video goes. But hey, can't say the dude isn't taking chances and avoiding the safe route, which makes him a novelty in modern day "radio" rap.

J Cole on some ole' JK Rowlins shyt, like when she claimed Dumbledore was actually gay (AFTER all the books were out). :russ:

This dude...ok let me settle down...I fukks with Cole, he made Friday Night Lights how could anyone hate on that classic mixtape. But dude is taking an L here, as I said earlier. That song is a big record and should be treated as such. So why the fukk is he making a dark, poorly lit video with Miguel in it for literally 10 seconds, barely any women, and two dudes driving around in a car.

This nikka still stressing over determining who the real and fake fans are? nikka you got a dope record, capitalize on that shyt. Make a big ass video. But nooo, he gotta do this.

EXACTLY.

Dudes can't just do the normal thing and do what the song is talking about.

They stay TRYING to be different.

Whats wrong with the easy lay-up?

fukk outta here son. :pacspit:

Dude is referencing a song from a mixtape cut from 4 years ago.

But ya'll trying to spin this into a win?

Word?

As if J Cole lyrics and message goes over ANY nikkas head.

Thats what i'm talking about.

This nikka is the EPITOME of mediocre and STAYS getting passes.

And thats not even true.

J Cole fans are so delusional its embarassing.

What type of win? I'm just saying that it's a good video. Making a video without a lot of ass and a lot of fast cars for the dreamers is not a win, it's whatever to me. I won't ever OPPOSE it though.

Cole is exercising his right to be an artist first.
The fukked up thing here is that you don't like Cole, but still want his video to be a standard commercial video :mindblown:

Isn't the video exactly what the song is about?
A broad fukking up a dudes mind so bad that he takes drastic measures?
Knowing about Dreams is not necessary to understand the video, but it's a cool bonus for the fans.

J. Cole went against the suits at his labels, you nikkas in here are actually thinking about the suits first and artists second, fukking disgusting.
Crying like bytches over not getting to see Miguel and shyt, the fukk they do that at.

Got me up all night, all I'm singing is love songs
She got me up all night, constant drinking and love songs
She got me up all night, down and out with these love songs
She got me up all night, drown it out with these love songs
She got me up all night, all I'm singing is love songs
She got me up all night, constant drinking and love songs
She got me up all night, down and out with these love songs
She got me open all night, got me open all night
Had a thing for you, even wrote the song dreams for you
Cause I had dreams for you, thoughts of a ring for you
Childish shyt, you know child and shyt
Anonymous flowers sent, you know coward shyt

But I'm still on you, I'm still on you
My drink spill on me
While I feel on you
I'm saying

Would you believe me if I said I'm in love
Baby, I want you to want me
Would you believe me if I said I'm in love?
Baby, I want ya
Well this has gotta be the longest crush ever
If I ever get to fukk it'd be the longest bust ever
Love is a drug, like the strongest stuff ever
And, fukk it I'm on one, you feel me?
She on a power trip, she got me where she want a nikka
Wifin' in the club, man my homies' gon' disown a nikka

I'm in your city and I'm wonderin' if you're home now
Went and found a man, but I'm hopin' you alone now
Can't help but feelin' like I dropped the ball, cliche
I used to pop up on you at the mall each day

That doesn't read like the words of a dude completely obsessed with a chick?

He already did the typical expected video for "Can't Get Enough". He can't do something different every once in a while? :what:

If he had gone the safe route this thread wouldn't even still be on the first page and everyone would have forgotten about it by now.
