A Pound & A Prayer
I've seen some tweets where theyre going to the point of saying "we're not gonna march in the street for y'all if you won't for us." And it's not only really dumb... But extremely dangerous.
People are protesting against police brutality that happens to BOTH black men AND black women. So if these tweets are to be believed, they're just gonna stay home if a man gets killed in an act of racial violence? What if that's their son, father, brother, cousin or husband? Is that suddenly not important anymore? That's insanity and nobody should ever cosign this because this is no different than the same shyt these white supremacists are pushing.
In fact, I question if these accounts are truly black. Now is the worst possible time for something like this to gain traction, and this isn't even Cole's fault.
I honestly think a lot of these people (especially the verified accounts) are paid to spread division. Some women genuinely have a disdain for black men due to their personal trauma but it’s extremely dangerous how these people have platforms.
The reaction to this song is ironic because a lot of men are looking at women reacting erratically this and feeling disenfranchised which is the exact thing Cole spoke on.
