Don't try to defend this behavior.... the way people praise him can't be justified. You people try to defend him like he's your dad. He's some random guy that you have never met in your life, that probably doesn't give a damn about you...
No grown man should care about another grown man, that they don't know, that much. I know a lot of people who work harder than Kobe in real life. Not practicing basketball and honing skills to game that means nothing in the grand scheme of things, and I still don't worship him the way ya'll worship Kobe.

Do you realize kobe went from averaging 7ppg to 35ppg and setting numerous records in the NBA(the highest level of basketball in the WORLD)
Do you realize he has won 2 GOLD medal in the OLYMPICS?

How about my mom came overseas to NY from Guyana, by herself, leaving my oldest brother behind. Worked as a live-in maid for years. Quit that job, started off as teller at a bank... then brought my brother and grandmother over with her and took care of them
Moved down to NC with my dad (military) and other brother, got another job as teller and had me. Parents got divorced, she took care of all 3 of us and my grandmother. Ended up becoming a Mortgage Loan officer by working her way up the ladder and getting remarried. Now she is the VP of her branch with and has 3 sons who are college graduates.
Then she adopted my 3 cousins from Guyana after both of their parents died and still taking care of them. One in college, one in high school, and the other in middle school.
I don't have so much admiration for Kobe, or any other celebrity, because I have people right around me who have worked just as hard as him, and probably harder, to get where they are. Kobe is just another nikka to me. A great basketball player, sure... but still just another nikka.
He tried to make it seem like there are people who don't work as hard as Kobe, in the normal world. Which is a rediculous notion. He implied that I didn't have an example... I gave him one.
Pretty simple.
We just put these athletes on a pedestal, as if their accomplishments mean so much more than others. Averaging the most points in basketball history means nothing to me when it's all said and done. And these are the type of things that people worship these players for.
