Rockets fans having to watch Harden win a title the minute he leaves Houston while they show faux excitement about a full rebuild has to be rough.

There shouldn’t be any Rockets fans that feel that way. He did a hell of a lot here and despite the way the trade went down, it was understood why it went that way. You want it to be one way, but it’s actually another.

If Harden gets a ring, these dudes gonna be furious.

If that does happen, they’ll have to turn their attention to Giannis and especially Dame, the latter of which has far less success than Harden (and other stars) yet gets propped up for some reason despite his teams never truly having expectations. He’s basically a perpetual underdog.

Regarding Harden vs Durant vs LeBron...

Remember, prime Lebron got dissed as an empty stats (triple double) guy who didn't know how to win/wasn't a real "closer", had no post-moves, and hid behind "i made the right play" excuses for passing up clutch shots... prime KD got dissed as passive during crunch time/not an alpha/defers too much (to Russ), mr unreliable, prone for mental mistakes and couldn't pass for shyt out of a double...

In response they both joined teams with a top 5 player and top 15'ish 3rd wheel... the rest is history and no one talks about OKC KD or pre-Heatles Lebron no more.

James Edward Harden got the saaaame setup now. Barring injuries, they should at least be able to pull a Heatles (4 Finals runs) and win half.

How is KD better than Harden? Harden is capable of leading the league in assists and scoring in any given season. Dude is a walking offensive system, can elevate any team into a top ten offense just by virtue of adding him to the team. KD might be able to give you 40 against any defense but Harden can give you 40 and 15.

KD has returned as a legit Top 5 player again, but he isn't better than Harden. And if Brooklyn runs to a chip or has an impressive postseason run otherwise, with Harden leading the way, you're gonna have a million re-evaluations of where KD and Harden should be considered All-Time...

KD is the greater All-Time but Harden is the better player right now with the chance to completely flip the perception of he and Durant with one dominant run...
