I hate being this way, but you all have to see that these advanced stats are just a way for whites who don't have an actual eye for the game to exert influence over the game. And folks are letting them. Not many of them have a eye for real talent so they fall back on these arbitrary numbers to seem smarter than they are.

Points created isn't even an "advanced stat" its points+assists, pretty simple. Many times when Lebron or another ball dominant player takes over the offense they put up on the screen that he "scored or assisted on every point this quarter"...this is the exact same thing. How is that not a relevant stat?

I should have clarified. I wasn't necessarily attacking the points created metric, just the whole circus surrounding this MVP race. Folks have been pulling numbers from the depths of their dikk riding asses to bolster their arguments. It's made the whole process less enjoyable than it should be. IMO.

I hate to be that guy but:

Got to have play-off success for it to mean anything more.

Even if he doesn't perform at the same level come postseason, if it's near it and they win it all, you can make a point that it was the greatest season ever played in the modern era by any athlete.

If they get bounced by GS, then it takes a toll on the body to overexert and fall short.
