i love watching hungrybox's jiggly puff tho :hubielupe:That's exactly what I'm saying, he has a little gimmick that he does.
To be honest, I'm borrowing that terminology from video game player. In super smash bros. if you pick jiggly puff, dudes know you're just gonna float around near the edge and edge guard them until they fall off. It's a bullshyt gimmick tactic that's totally within the rules and incredibly effective, but if you play that way you have to take the L in the real world because there's other characters that take more skill to play and you're coping out by avoiding those, like fox or falco who go super fast and do crazy shyt.
In this analogy (which won't make any sense) Harden is Jigglypuff, and Steph is Fox. Harden does someshyt that's borderline questionable, and it gets him wins. But don't try and tell me I have to respect that shyt when there's guys out here like Steph actually playing the game and not making me watchfor 90 minutes.
Like, one of the reasons I'm a fan of basketball is it's one of the sports where style points matter - not on the scoreboard but to the fans/players. That's why people don't like harden's bs on offense, and they don't like when the Spurs do Hack-a-Jordan for half the 4th qtr.
It's why Shaq chose to shoot 50% FTs without ever even considering taking a granny shot.
It's why 20 years after Kareem, nobody shoots a hook shot even though it's proven to be effective as fukk.
Harden's like "fukk all that, I'd rather score 33 than 22 and then bytch when I don't get the MVP"
but yea i get what you're saying, you wanna watch elite level scoring and athleticism and drawing fouls is gimmicky and dull. But if thats what wins games for Harden then he should keep doing it, i mean i doubt he cares about entertaining his audience over winning.
but Harden never really complained when he didnt get MVP, other players were complaining on his behalf. And last season he had an amazing season and was completely ignored and snubbed.
