I read this book called "The Two Parent Privilege" and interesting enough it seems that the educated, more affluent classes, are still getting married and reproducing. The ones that aren't are the uneducated men / women so they're suffering more.
:dahell:

Poor people suffer because the affluent hoard wealth.

A women living in poverty doesn't have a better life by laying up with a man popping out 6 kids while everyone in the house is stupid as hell.

:mjlol::dead:

Ya'll literally just say anything.

I'm curious who's happier between those women.
I've seen articles that go both ways. :yeshrug:
Or maybe like other people stated working people to death with low pay is not the best way to promote marriage and reproduction.
Poor people in poor countries have higher birthrates though.

I'm for women getting education and progressing. I'm just wondering how this issue can be resolved for both genders because it may destabilize our country and we see now people not pairing up is one of the contributing factors to the rise of depression and loneliness. I want women to find viable partners and build communities, not an erosion of it. We see that this is causing a huge divide and problem in many levels. Another problem is everything is simply getting more expensive so maybe more social safety nets will help that. In tech I see we have an opportunity for more paid maternity & paternity leave. Other industries are still lagging.
You just asked if a slave is happier than a free person.

Now you wanna give me some politically correct answer as if you actually care about the feelings and wellbeing of women.

The first post showed your hand.

Have you ever considered that maybe the solution is having a society that isn't built on oppression might be a better solution that just bringing more and more people into this fukked up realty.

Maybe just maybe birthrate are falling because the environment we live in is not suitable for offerspring and on a biological level we know that.

Japan, Korea, China, US, Canada, all the same boat. Without immigrants, economies will collapse in less than 50 years
Its only a temporary solution. In Germany for example within one generation the immigrants children barely have kids either. Its not the people, there is a fundamental problem that no country seems to be able to fix.

It looks like you can have educated women or a sustainable birthrate. History has not shown me You can have both.
Actually, i think the solution is to double down.
You could fix it by giving women even more education, more income, and more freedom. Sounds crazy right?:pachaha:

But i say this because it seems like fertility rates follow a downward bell curve if you look at data. By this i mean on the left side of a chart you have poor, unproductive people, and on the right side you have wealthy productive people . The fertilty peaks on the left and sinks in the middle, only to start rising dramatically on the right.

If we can shift society further to the right of this chart, then the problem is solved while allowing women to be educated and still have babies. And shifting society isnt a new thing. You and i are exponentially wealthier , smarter, and educated than all our pre 1900s ancestors combined. So another bump up should be doable.

We did it with the dawn of agriculture, with the success of mercantilism, with industrialization, and finally with the transition to the information age. I think one more shift is what we need. We are in this stage because the education wealth and freedom of the modern era has never been seen in humanity but I don't think we're done with our progression as humans on this path.

Poor people in poor countries having every higher birthrates though.
People have to manage not wanting to be in poverty plus not having time for children vs having a child or even multiple. Also having children without having the means to support them leads to and reinforces poverty, so higher birth rates without considering the economic impact is not sustainable just like not having enough kids to maintain the population as well.

If they were more open to foreigners they could buffer their population decline easily with immigrants. A lot of people would love to live in Japan

Won’t be Japan anymore tbh if that happened. They are a weird people. And also their work life balance is usually trash.

With that being said, GOAT vacation I’ve done.
