Anybody who understand this shyt knows Jay wasnt employing Nas at all, he didn't own the company, Jay and Nas were both employed ( for all intents and purposes ) by the company, they had different jobs/roles.

Yeah, Jay had an executive role which he was offered at the time, Nas didn't wasn't that so turned down them offers and wanted to be an artist, the Nas and Jay squashing shyt was in part to facilitate his move to Def Jam, if Jay wasn't there he would have come there anyway, it was partly so everyone was comfortable and on the same page. It was a good move for all at the time.
