Hate to see this happen especially while he is smack dab in the middle of his prime. At least with Kobe Dame and KD we got to see them at their best and they played most if not all of their prime years before suffering the injury. Tatum is still young with years left but this injury WILL change the trajectory of his career now.

I was sick watching that shyt last night, like everyone I knew what it was as soon as they played the replay…injuries like this always suck, but Tatum just seemed like one of the most down to earth dudes in the league…. He did the impossible and made be root for the Celtics at times…perennial 1st team All NBA guy and last year should have been been like a victory lap for him, instead because of the FMVP obsession and the Olympics this season was almost like a revenge tour…I can tell from his reaction, he’s been a pretty stoic cat through it all, all of it came crashing down on him at that moment

Hope he gets back to more than 100% to what he was, cause he was still getting better as a complete two player and playmaker

Not at all

Ownership is not paying repeater tax and second apron penalties for a team that has no shot at winning a title

Last night was this Celtics core’s last game together

:usure: they not staying over the 2nd apron with Tatum out for the season and KP being a part time player.

:dahell:HOW IS BOSTON SUPPOSED
TO GET RID OF SALARIES
WITHOUT TAKING MATCHING
SALARIES BACK?

Remember when Achilles was considered an old man injury?

Now anyone can get it, it seems like. I remember when Kobe got hurt, there were like 5-6 players that tore it before him and they were all old as shyt. There was basically no data.

That’s Brad Stevens job to figure out :manny:

The expectation long before Tatum got hurt was they’re cutting payroll this offseason

THE NBA DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT.

YOU JUST CANT CUT PAYROLL
WITH GUARANTEED CONTRACTS

THE MOST YOU CAN DO
IS TRADE A GUY
MAKING X AMOUNT PER SEASON
FOR 3 THE NEXT YEARS
FOR A GUY WHO IS MAKING
THE SAME AMOUNT BUT SIGNED
FOR ONE YEAR.

EITHER WAY THEY WILL
BE ON THE HOOK
FOR THE SAME AMOUNT NEXT YR

It’s because younger guys like KD and Tatum have been heavy in the AAU circuit since they were 10. Their bodies have a lot of mileage on them at a young age. Curry probably would’ve been cooked by now if Dell hadn’t pulled him out of the AAU circuit until his senior year of HS.
