Having surgery in that small of a window isn't unheard of. Pretty sure KD's was done within 24 hours of that game

You can re-tear achilles even after they're repaired but it's a risk even sitting out. The leg's not going to be the same and they'll be issues with swelling and cramping he & the Celts will just have to take care of the older he gets until he hangs it up. But if he wants to come back and docs are on board then hey

I can respect that but you dont wanna do something now that costs you long term. If he is indeed some outlier or they have made this level of progress with Achilles then great, I wish him the best. But if he is rushing it and putting his future at risk, I hope somebody steps in.

Doctors are all saying his recovery is going well, even ahead of schedule

But if I’m understanding correcting depending on how it goes, Tatum’s recovery could be a gamechanger for Achilles injuries
