Atl just signed Dashon Goldson, I wouldn't have minded bringing him on to replace Bathea. I think that's an upgrade.

Kerley is very reliable. All the years returning jets punts I don't remember him dropping it or fumbling it.
Hes just not dynamic. He fair catches a lot and just isn't going to be exciting.
But if all you're looking for is reliable then he's your guy.
As a receiver he's got great hands. Catches everything and rarely drops. He's a decent slot guy but again he's not dynamic, you're not going to see him bust g out 80 yard catches making guys miss. Just a steady reliable guy who's a good 3/4 on the chart.
He's a good guy to have on the depth chart. He just didn't fit the Jets new scheme and what Chan wants.

Yea it sucks that he's had bad luck health wise. But I just don't see what he is capable of bringing to the offense that can't easily be replaced , even if he's healthy. I haven't seen any flashes of anything. He's a name that's brought up alot as someone that is an important piece but I'm always like
. It's not like he's a playmaker on returns either
