Yeah but I'm saying it's not good to start Kaep vs the hags ( and its not going to happen anyway :manny:), not that Gabbert shouldn't be replaced

i mean this is pretty much going the way i expected so far. gabbert is exposing himself, teams are taking away mcdonald and forcing him to throw to the sidelines.
i wonder if seattle changes their defense and plays man on te's, that would really fuk up gabbert

the only positive on offense so far this year is staley, brown, and tiller. garnett needs to eventually play

mcdonald needs to be signed to a extension, i feel like hes coming into his own now

I don't get people saying to start Kaep for Seattle game tho. Even in his prime Kaep wasn't good against hags to put it lightly. About the worst thing for his confidence is to start him for this game. Plus TEs give hags problems and gabbert can throw to tes

They need to do the same thing they did with Gabbert last year if they goin to Kaep. Get Kaep in against a mediocre d to give him and team confidence. Cowboys D works
I remember him playing fine in the NFC chip. Last year he was hurt. People calling for Kaep because he is the better qb. He was thrown in as starter once Alex went down and was fine. imo now is the time, before Gabbert digs a whole they can't get out of.

I mean now is the time to try to steal a win in Seattle with Kaep, him winning there would do more for his confidence going forward. I don't think confidence is an issue at all for Kaep .

have you seen kaep stats against seattle? they are some of the worst you'll ever see for a qb

especially in seattle

I get that. But I personally feel that he still the better option than Gabbert so to me I feel corny saying he should play after Seattle because he struggled there. It's obvious that at some time this season Kaep will play, if getting him confident is really a thing, it's more beneficial to see if he can get a win on Sunday. Maybe he gets his swagger back

ok

how concerned are you about your line and wilsons health for this season?
They have their bye in week 5, so I think if he can get there he'll be ok. Still have my doubts from what I saw yesterday, its more than just him being mobile. He had to throw flat footed all game, and couldnt push off to get his normal zip on the ball.

Oline is terrible, and every season it takes them almost half the year to figure it out. They need to spread it out more like they did the last half of last season. As much as its Pete's philosophy, they aren't a power running team any more.

Kaep had always had problems with Seattle, especially in seattle. Like I've said, even in his prime when our squad was stacked, he had bad game in 2012 and awful game in 2013. Just awful games in 2014 against them

The game you claim he was fine with he generated three turnovers, two on our own half. And throwing more picks than touchdowns.

Again I have no problems calling for Kaep, but it's dumb to ask for him against a team he's historically absolutely bad against. 3td 9 picks, and 175 yards or below in 6 out of 7 games is catastrophically bad

Gabbert had played one game against the hags and he was better in that game than any time kaep was against Seattle. And that game was on the road as well.

Again, this is just facts. Hope you won't try to deny them. So from these facts, I don't see how you make the conclusion that starting kaep against a team he's mightily struggled against his whole career, as a good thing :manny:

the team has never won against Seattle in Seattle with Kaep at qb. Now, wins or losses aren't on qbs, but his performances in Seattle were pitiful, especially from passing standpoint. Let the dude rest and don't shatter his confidence- when kaep is bad, he's really bad

If he comes out and throws 2 picks and has 150 yards in a blowout, we might lose him for entire year... especially with the shyt storm any of his bad performance will cause in the media

I got the upmost respect for your front office but I can't understand how they've allowed their oline to get to this point. You guys haven't even invested a lot of high picks on the oline. I understand keeping the defense together but that graham trade has really hurt you guys and letting okung walk away was surprising.

Funny thing is the Niners defense hasnt shown up on the road in over a year, you might be able to run the ball and blow us out

Last year bad tackling really plagued us against seattle. Rawls was getting a shyt load of broken tackles in one game. I mean it was ridiculous

He also had 130 rush yards on 11 carries, no big deal right , who's denying facts :russ:

They were in position to win the game on the last play and go to back 2 back bowls with Kaep and came up short:yeshrug:

I make the conclusion to start Kaep against Seattle because he's better than Blaine Gabbert, Kaep will start this season at some point and if you concerned that confidence is an issue why not take advantage of Seattle while Russ is batteling an injury. :ehh:
Also I believe that Kaep is better than Case Keenum, maybe I'm in the minority around here on that.

Can't move forward trying to treat active qbs on the roster with kiddy gloves because they have struggled against a particular team, shyts lame imo.

Also I believe coaching had a lot to do with the 49ers struggles with Seattle , Carol and staff had Harbaugh and Greg Romans number . Greg Roman is complete trash that's why he's currently unemployed.

Different syestem now, much better o-line, it's a reg season game, Kaep has played them in a damn NFC championship game, he isn't scared.

Kaep has been horendous vs Seattle. Would be moronic to put him in now

I believe people just want Kaep in that, where they are worried if Gabbert plays well at all it'll keep Kap off the field

Which is corny, root for the team

I think we can beat Seattle, and it would be a hell of a game to rally around

Like yseJ said, theyre not good defending TES and that's our best option in the pass game right now with Gabbert
