Houston there's a black theater. I want to open a black theater where I settle down. It's a goal. I also want to teach kids to play music instruments again. There's no reason white kids should Maggot Brain and black kids don't.

Black media has always been popular.
Even during segregation, whites had no choice but to listen and watch in secret because the Black product was undeniably superior.
The comedy sketches and records were funnier, the music untouchable. Black people's art has always led the way.

Yet these low confidence new age negroes are too attached to the white world, and have no sense of independence. They have weak pride.

They have conceded power to a weak entity that was never needed in the first place.

If you notice, when Black people made independent music, theater and art the world came rushing to check it out.

They def did. They was rivals like a muthafukka lol. Julian has the white art appeal...shyt is cool and all but feels flat. Basquiat was literally the turning of the tide. He made oil sticks cool again and brought out Spray Paint into fine art. Plus the emergence of Hip Hop was forming.

It's a form of protest. Blackness is being wielded as a tool against us. Check out Lovecraft Country and stuff like that. Idris Elba would rather chase after an established franchise with a white lead.

In a perfect world....hence why Dr. King's "I have a Dream" speech he said not judged by the color of their skin. As long as white supremacy exists and as long as eat from the trough of white supremacy we will always be black 1st..then everything else second.

We need more black art galleries, more black museums, more black movie studios, more black book publishing companies etc.
