Wow, first time hearing someone refer to KD as Russ' sidekick. Especially weird coming from West lol.

That should have been the natural order of things...same shyt with Steph.

KD is a BETA bytch nikka BY HEART.;

The misconception was that since he's taller and more effecient that HE should be the star, he felt entitled but OKC knew who he really was, and who was really the leader.

Look at him in GSW...I mean objectively, is he the "best" player? SUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...no question...but he is NOT the leader of that team and will be their downfall if there is one. The same dynmatic that he has with Steph (better player objectively, still second banana) is the same dynamic that was there with Russ....it's just the press would rather prop up the humble p*ssy made one out the clique and shame the one with all the real juice.

He wanted to play off the ball and basically be a set shooter...he coulda did that in OKC.....the problem is that "my turn, your turn" strategy would fall flat when HE, unlike Russ couldn't overpower the nikkas guarding him. You figure he's such a perfect offensive weapon that he should be able to do what Russ can do and more but that's not the case....he'd catch the ball on the wing and somebody would get in his long ass way...he too big to put his head down and really will himself to the basket so Russ gets blamed for not getting it to him in his spots...we seen him pull that shyt in GSW, demanding the ball in ISO...KD is nice but he ain't got the will.

He went to GSW to be Stephs bytch and if they do win he'll look like he was just along for the ride. HE'S THE ONE WHO SHOULD HAVE ADJUSTED HIS GAME AND DEFERRED TO RUSS , everybody else thinks it was the other way around but uh uhh...

So..you're saying you're white but you think you're helping black people by claiming that they can't do math?

No wonder you got that banner.

Nice try crakkka.

If you were actually black you would know that this isn't about actually math. Its about having a convenient excuse to deny black people access to a job.

If you're black, you would know that regardless of our credentials, a white man with less qualifications will be hired if they can help themselves. That is why they use analytics as an excuse. That was the hiring pool is majority white.

If NBA playing experience is the main prerequisite to getting a job in the NBA then we would have a greater chance since 70+% of NBA players are black. A major black hiring pool would mean they couldn't keep hiring only whites in NBA front offices or for head coaching jobs.

what has billy beane and the A's won????

the cleveland browns went with that shyt and ended up giving up carson wentz for some bum ass receiver

beli was like :beli: to analytics i'm keeping it old school

They haven't won because they don't have a new stadium, not because their philosophy didn't work.

So what you're saying is there are no smart black people at MIT to give jobs to :mjpls:
Be a WOAT posting fake black militant rhetoric and undermine black people's intelligence

Please tell me what industry do you know that will hire a qualified black man over qualified whites?

You guys gotta be white cause ain't no way someone black would come back with this junk. They would know what I mean. Black people created mathematics you dumb fukk. We educated you Europeans living in fukkin caves when the Moors invaded. The issue here isn't knowing math.

The issue is crakkkas trying to weed basketball people (who are majority black) out of NBA front office jobs and replacing them with their white friends from college.

If you think they are actually doing this for the merit of actually gaining some deep information then you must be retarded. This is a pure racial exclusion move.

Didn't read all that...
Everything you've ever posted is dumb, nikka Your rep is abysmal, your banner is telling. Why would I give anything you said serious consideration? :mjlol:

What the hell does a stadium have to do with winning?

Raiders play in that same shytty stadium and made the playoffs and probably coulda made a super bowl run if not for Carr getting injured.
new stadiums offer the type of revenue needed to spend more money. The A's are usually near the bottom in terms of payroll. They know how to spot talent but they usually have trouble keeping them because they'll get outspent. The Raiders don't have that issue because there's a hard cap in place. Hell, the Raiders are leaving Oakland because of the stadium.

Also, nice of you to forget that the Raiders made the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

People who categorically reject analytics are idiots, plain and simple. They act like analytics is all about a bunch of nerds sitting around a table and ranking players based on their PER.

Rejecting analytics is as ignorant as saying reviewing film is pointless because you already watched the game the first time. Using analytics, you can measure things you couldn't possibly keep track of during the game. There is no reason not to take advantage of that.

i think there's a place for it when it comes to hot spots on the courts, tendencies, where to force guys at on certain part of the floor. Some people look at it for all ends and everything. I think it's a supplementary tool behind watching and scouting the game

Analytics is no different than Spark Notes. It's only useful if you don't watch the games. Just as spark notes is only useful if you don't read the book.

If you actually watch the game, analytics is useless.

Analytics like any other box score is a cheat sheet for not actually watching the game.

There's A) and B) here to me when it comes to analytics.

A) I absolutely think analytics has it's place when trying to solve problems like building a team. I think it'd be practical to compose it of analytically favorable players.

B) I don't agree when people use analytics to try and disprove or downplay a winning legacy that's already been written in the history books.

For example, using stats to say Kobe wasn't a great winner is dumb. I don't care if he was "not as efficient as x on another team that year" during the last two championship runs. Two titles as the centerpiece is all the stats you need. History has already been made and it's nearly pointless to spin it.

Analytics in A's case is useful because it targets an objective, real world goal for a team. A "real" NBA title.

Analytics in B's case is for a fantasy/make believe trophy. An "imaginary" NBA title, a stan's trophy.
