Gangs lost their purpose when the drugs were flooded in and jobs were taken out of communities. Then it became the wild wild west and codes of honor were thrown out the window.

I know the story of how gangs used to be. Hell the chicago pd assassinated Fred Hampton because he was gonna unite the gangs of Chicago with the BPP. But since the 70s gangs have become self fish, no regard for black life, stray bullets killing black children, only caring about money, and snitch on each other when shyt gets hot. Nice try but you put no thought in that question. There are parts of the ghetto where absolutely nothing happens. There are kids in upper middle class settings that are deeply involved in criminal activities. Most kids don't adapt well to a sudden life change for whatever reasons.

The thing is these kids are not coming out the womb evil. They are being corrupted by their environment. People always want to address the branches but the tree never dies because the root is never addressed. You kill the root, and the branches, trunk and leaves all die. Not vice versa. To just say that black kids are killing black kids is a oversimplified obvious observation. WHY are black kids killing each other? Why are they out on the street? Why is there financial incentives for black families to be divided? Why have the wounds from slavery never been addressed? Why are the kids unsupervised? Where did the gun and the dope COME FROM? These questions need to be asked. Just stating the obvious is not working! White Supremacy, lack of parenting, proliferation of guns, lack of jobs, designed ghettos, industrial prison complexes, etc need to be addressed and spoke about ad nauseum.

people just plain don't like working class blacks (well America often doesn't like black folks in general but it plain despises the poorer members of our community no matter what they do), it's why you seem some of these posters here always whining about some bad thing black folks are doing but yet you never see discussions on black mental issues, homelessness, or higher birth rate deaths (all major issues that affect sizable segments of subsections of the blacks) people are more offended about having to hear about poor blacks killing each other than the actual act In my opinion

As my pops put it to me years ago:

"these shytty towns in the asscracks of America is not spending millions to build these industrial prisons to sit around empty?

They rarely build a new school, library or rec center, but they steady building these pens........whole towns biggest employers are Walmarts and State Prisons. Its big business. Our black children are looked at as modern day slaves and commodities. The only time they care about us is when we still in the womb (abortion) once we are teens or full grown we are being groomed from the grave or the pen.
