Job Corps closing?

George Foreman and at least one of the Wayans brothers got their lives turned around in JC. There was fukkery to be honest, but if you were focused it could set you up well.

That’s what I was told. I grew up partially in DC and was told that although there was no specific program The government would hire a job corps grad for some low level job Because it was designed to find people work

So businesses were given incintives to hire and if that didn’t work the local or federal government would hire you.

That being said I don’t see how the problem could be fixed considering the type of person that went to Job Corps in the first place. shyt was like a fox in a hen house for staff. And not to mention the students fukking.

This was a great program. A lot of these people really learned valuable skills and trades and actually went off to do things. Knew one chick who went overseas and played ball because of JC. I’m still friends with a ton of people I met there to this day…




But that shyt was wild af . Trump again, doing some harmful and unnecessary shyt to a program that actually helps people that otherwise could be doing something worse.

I know a lot of people who went to job corp. Got a lot of trade skills . Now they making that legal and street money.

My homie Jay got sentenced for a robbery as a juvenile and one of his conditions was to go to Job Corps when he was released and now he’s a welder and family man. They want us to fail. fukk everyone who juelzed and both sided this country into voting for that fat orange fakkit

I went to the Job Corp in Pittsburgh before I went to college and then the Navy


It was a great program. I know a lot of people who went to Job Corp and got valuable skills



This fatchick tried to trap me when I was there. One day in class she pushed me into a broom closet and started kissing me and told me to come to her house that night. A young Gen was

Job Corps runs the second biggest Trade school program (behind Community Colleges and ahead of the Unions) in the state of NY. This is absolutely devastating for people who are trying to turn their lives around.

Schoolwork in itself wasn’t the issue. I dropped out and worked because I felt like the games around it was a waste of time

JC is a great program for the trades specifically though. Definitely could’ve helped anyone starting in life if they focused.

exactly look at all these kids out here raised on social media and all the programs are going away add in the fact that you can’t take a chance on a kid from the projects that maybe their GPA or SAT scores aren’t where they need to be who now can’t get into college.

Now the only door opened to them is the miliatry.

I liked my time in the military but I was badly injured.

I’m not hating lord knows it’s been proven over and over that school doesn’t work for Boys.

I went from A student at Catholic school to dropout. Simply because people knew when I applied myself I was good no one suggested these programs to me.

I heard of other kids getting into them but they were seen for “stupid kids"
So I didn’t go to JC or Upward Bound

Part of the problem was the way nikkas pronounced it I thought it was called Upper Bound.
