hot-diggaty-dam-dam. whos that in ur avi?
i dont know if there was a beef but i know that there was friendly competition between uptown and laface/arista.
people dont acknowledge that thru most of jodeci's run, there were alot of groups putting out better albums. also, i'll take h-town's "part time lover(granted, it was produced by devante), knockin da boots & silk's "lose control" over any jodeci song.
but jodeci was hittin us over the head nonstop with CLASSIC-CLASSIC SINGLES. that singles run is pretty much un-rivaled by anybody in modern-day r&b at least. hell, modern-day music period. and most of all, they had uptown records behind them all the way.
as far as dru hill & 112 go. nah. the late '90s were a step down from the early-mid '90s. dru hill had that classic debut tape tho. but 112 wouldve got lost in the shuffle if they came out a few years earlier than they did. btw, i'd take jagged edge over 112.

Yeah Jodeci were those dudes. My sister used to work for a black newspaper back in the 90s and met them a number of times. Said they were mad friendly and cool.
Didn't Jodeci have beef with Boyz II Men? I remember an interview when Devante said "we'd never fukk with herbs like B2M. You'll never see us wearing bow ties". Something like that.

man Jodeci is my FAVORITE male group from that era, silk, h-town, shai - them nikkas wasn't doing it like Jodeci. BIIM was cool, but they don't do it for me like Jodeci. I'd put Dru Hill and 112 in my number 2 and 3 spots over all those other groups
