I'm a take a stab in the dark and say Jay was/is probably Drake's favorite rapper growing up but he won't really admit it. A lot of shyt he does is so similar.
That basketball imagery in 30 for 30 really did hit their relationship spot on for me. It's like Jay constantly saying "I see you using my blueprint and I respect it but ease up lil nikka this is my shyt" and Drake constantly saying "The legend...you taught me well but pass the rock you don't got it no more old man"
