hehehehehehehehehe
yeah it actually was normal BACK IN THE DAY. When rapping was a sport and about battling people and talking about how ill you were.
Think about it like this. Rapping back in the day was like street ball, you knew you had to do two things, be able to cross someone up(not get crossed up), be able to dunk(no matter how short you were) and dont get dunked on. Because if those things happened to you you would get dissed for so long about getting your ankles broken or dunked on, you wouldnt be able to show up to the courts anymore. BUt in the nba today. everything is corporate. sure it will be on ESPN, and we will clown about it. but no one will care enough to not show up to the next nba game. its too corporate.
thats the difference between back in the day rapping and today rapping.
What you see with these Battle rapping leagues right now, is how it was to a degree back in the day. it just wasnt a perfectly established setup like it is today. and guys were more about making music. but even that music was laced with battle lyrics. dudes knew. I better get ready JUUUUUUST in case someone talks slick in my direction. This was a well known thing to do. have battle raps on deck JUUUST in case it popped off.
YES it was a well known NORMAL thing from back then that this was MCEE etiquette.
nikka that shyt was never normal, cut out ur fantasy lying.
