Johnny Davis is looking like the worst lottery pick of the 2022 NBA Draft

Am I overreacting?

He gotta switch his shot back. The original form was top of the head release. That shyt goes in for me 9/10 when I do that and that’s not my natural shot release so I know a consistent player such as himself could utilize it to his advantage. The shot looks fluid and much more comfortable.

That new shot seems to will never work.

Not an NBA player unfortunately
Some had said he was too small for his style of play and seems they were right
Can't get to his spots against NBA athletes
I wouldn't be shocked if he's gone after this season

He's not a total wash. He looks physically stronger and can defend. He's just not getting time. But he doesn't need to be a shot maker. Defense would be so much better with him in it.
He'll find a niche once people stop judging him for being a role player for a top ten pick

why did the team exercise his option?

anyways...he guaranteed to make $15M over the course of his career.

can take that shyt to wisconsin...stash a good $5M of it to just collect interest on some investment grade bonds and try to make good with lets say the other $2.5M if he smart. Risk free rate like 5% these days so its really that easy.

make some good business decisions, go be a graduate assistant in Madison etc.
