No he didn't. He pointed out that a majority of the gun confiscated in big Blue Cities come from outside that city or state. So that means the people who brought those guns into those cities were **say it with me** BREAKING THE LAW.

Criminals don't follow the fukking laws. No matter how many stupid fukking gun laws get passed that won't stop people from breaking the law.

Liberals live in a fantasy world where they think they can just pass laws and bad things won't happen.

It’s not that bad things won’t happen but you can arrest people for it and it deters others. It’s literally the utilitarian justification for crime and punishment

And we have clear laws now. Most people even if they don't know the particular statute have an understanding of what is illegal.
What these folks in here want is Minority Report.

They want a world where the State should prevent every bad thing from happening. That is just not possible.

More guns in the hands of trained, responsible citizens.

The criminals are the ones who need to be afraid. And not of the cops.
The fact that criminals still do home invasions is baffling to me. They should expect to be met with a shotgun (at minimum).

This is such a childlike view of crime, it's laughable. It's as if you have this dichotomy where people are either good or bad, law abiding in every aspect or deranged predators doing whatever tf they want. Reality is way more complex than that.

Quote the clear laws that lead to responsible gun ownership? There are more laws dictating your conduct with a car than a gun and the government tracks car ownership better too.

C'mon dawg.

I can't believe you want Black folks disarmed and passive.
The bad people in the world are not going to disarm.

Humans have invented weapons. There is no magic wand folks can wave to make evil and violence disappear from Earth.
It is each individual's duty to be trained and prepared to protect yourself and your family.

No it is not. You guys have the unrealistic view of crime and human nature.
You people who want all gun banned live in a fantasy world where that is not going to happen.

We have to deal with the world as it is.

You can't legally purchase a firearm if you are a felon, if you have charges pending, if you are currently being treated for mental issues etc.
You have to fill out a form 4473 and pass a background check before a licensed firearm dealer can sell you a gun.
You can't purchase a gun and then give it to someone else (that is a straw purchase).
You can't brandish your weapon or pull it out in public and threaten people.
You can't unlawfully discharge your weapon.
There are certain places where firearms are prohibited, even if you have a conceal carry license.
Using your gun in the commission of other crimes will get you extra charges.
There are other laws and specific state laws regarding safe storage of your firearm if minors are in your house.

Yall want government to control every aspect of people's lives.
Why does the government have to force people to be responsible? That is up to the individual. They chose to break the law then they risk losing their freedom and potentially their gun rights and voting rights.

People know what the rules are and know there are penalties for breaking the rules.
What the fukk more do you want?!?

King believed in non-violence but not letting ourselves become victims.

Visiting Martin Luther King Jr. at the peak of the Montgomery, Alabama bus boycott, journalist William Worthy almost sat on a loaded pistol. “Just for self defense,” King assured him. It was not the only weapon King kept for such a purpose; one of his advisors remembered the reverend’s Montgomery, Alabama home as “an arsenal.”

:what:

We were already victims so that is a complete misrepresentation of what he believed, i.e., 'nonviolent resistance'.

Who are the perpetrators of gun violence resisting?
Who are the perpetrators of gun violence resisting?
No one. They are criminals who are breaking the law when they use violence against others.

Why did MLK have guns in his home? To protect his family, aka not become a victim.

I don't get this mentality. Just because you are peaceful and nonviolent doesn't mean the rest of the world will operate like that and you know it.

He was already a victim so that argument does not apply.

Also, he was specifically targeted.

Neither you nor I are.
