I’ve always said Nike and Gatorade marketing Campaigns did more for peoples opinion on Jordan than anything other player. Folks who never watched basketball will swear he’s the untouchable goat:stopitslime:
Yup that n the fact so many expansion teams was added during his prime :pachaha: but I can’t front there really is something mythical bout the man n you can say the same bout other NBA legends but all the stories are so wild

Lebron is sitting at the same table as Jordan
I've said before but if Bron spent a couple years in college this would be a real debate. The lack of polish (and Bron thinking he's good enough) contributed to those rough moments of him not having a counter in his game.

I dont know how anybody looks at Bron's career from 2012 to 2021 and not think thats in the GOAT discussion. However, the mishaps from before are just to strong for some people to get over or not punish as much.

Still an amazing career.

I’m 25 so I never saw Jordan in his prime but the reason he’s the goat is beyond what he does on the court, it’s the confidence the mentality :demonic: n add to the fact him n Tink made Nike he’s the foundation of one of the greatest American brands. It’s the fact that even years after retirement he’s still the same :dead:
so no actual reasons

just an idea that the media built up

Kareem does not have a real case. nikkas just read his accolades after the fact and it looks comparable. They don't see he was only a superstar level player for like 2 of the 6 rings. But on paper those 6 rings hold the same weight as Mike's. nikkas just see 6 rings, 6 MVPs, and the scoring record and think ooh that's up there with Jordan. Same reason Westbrook will look like one the the goat point guards 10+ years from now. His stats\accolades will read better than the impact he had

I remember that Slam article someone posted from the 90s with the goat ranking. They had Kareem like 5th. It's just one source but it gives an idea on the popular opinion at the time. Now decades later he has gained all this support

Somewhere tropic...
We just watched a game where Bron was outscored not only by his opponent but his team mate
Imagine Jordan
I've watched both, Bron doesn't compare. If you want to hang you hat on longevity stats, do you
