Please, they put the belt on Sheamus months after debuting and did every trick in the book to hide the green dude. He was Irish Baron Corbin. In his last title run in 2015, he was considerably better, but was miscast as Conor McGregor, the fans didnt see him at that level either. The company knew the fans knew Sheamus was shyt, so he was a plot device to get Roman cheered. Never a main eventer. Not that charisma & personalty matters. In real life, people gravitate to Titus O'Neil like a magnet, and that never resulted in a push.
Mr. Ass wrestled the Rock in a non-main event match in a one-month feud. If we callin' that a main event push, then surely Kofi vs Orton is the same.

IC Title wasn't the WWF title. So the only thing Santana ever MAYBE main evented was house shows that Hogan wasn't on.

A nice video package showing how Shelton used to be the most athletic athlete in his previous run in WWE and a blue chip prospect and how he has only one goal to come back and get a 2nd chance to finally hold the WWE title. AJ Styles can talk about how this will be a true contest at Wrestlemania between 2 premier athletes and how he always looked up to Shelton Benjamin back in the day.

Nah, I don't know what he means, cause none of them people I mentioned got a main event push- but he said nobody has been in WWE long as Kofi has and not gotten a main event run. I rolled off five dudes, didn't even take me five seconds. They mighta closed out a Raw or SD, but we ain't gonna act like just cause Billy Gunn wrestled a guy who was a main eventer, means HE was a main eventer. Cause if that's the case, so did Kofi.
