I just don't see how that should be the lone focal when talking about keeping him.

It's the very reason why I'm disgusted about the Tebow signing.

Why are you clamoring on that post when you know good and damn well Knicks tickets are expensive as shyt and only corny white people go to NBA games now? But all in all this is going to be a problem because Dolan is going to match the contract and then the awkward encounter between JR and Lin happens causing more drama, more spotlight on the backpage compared to BK. I think the Knicks are just figuring out what their profit margin would be with Lin there and with him gone and they wont let him go. Lin alone will enable them to get a contract done with some channel in China or even start their own channel in China and the rest of the Asian countries. Remember he is the only notable Asian player in the NBA, come to think of it is there any other Asians right now?

And the same way people are defending Lin's right to "finesse" the situation, if he was black plenty would be openly calling him disloyal and demanding to know how he could be so arrogant to think he deserved that much money after barely proving anything, and saying he should be humbled that the team even gave him a shot when he was almost out of the league.

I've got no love for players talking on other players' money. But the sides people choose when they decide to inject race into the equation usually has everything to do with their own bullshyt and little with the situation.

I want to know exactly where youre going with this comment. The Knicks cant win with melo but Lin is worth more to the Knicks because Lin is more marketable for the simple fact that he's asian? So what is it? Winning, making money, or winning AND making money. And tell me how Melo "aint never winning shyt" for the Knicks.
