I don't understand this. He's suppose to play for pennies? He's not suppose to get the most paper he can get? This is part of what Emp is talking about. I never seen a situation where dudes both players and fans are going ham on a dude tryna make as much cake as he can. Where is this arrogance you speak of? What would have made Lin loyal in your eyes? The Knicks were the ones who told him to go looking for a deal :pachaha:. The team can't ask you to seek out a deal than get mad as fukk when it's too rich for your blood. You make an offer first and than put the decision on him, that way you can see all that loyalty bullshyt.

be fair bro... this type of deal is unheard of... this is not about lin "getting his money" (mind you, no one seems to mention the fact that jr and melo arent even stopping lin from getting the money, just commenting on the motives and outcome of the situaiton)

lin will be making TOP 5 pg money in 2014-2015... :merchant:

Who gives a shyt if the deal is unheard of. You asked the nikka to seek out a contract. Deal with the consequences of it, instead of resorting to this media spin of Lin being arrogant and all that other bullshyt when you muthfukkas didn't even offer a contract.

Also where was Melo when fields signed his offer sheet? That contract is even more "ridiculous".

That's immediately evident. Either improve your reading comprehension or don't bother engaging me. I don't care about Lin getting money from the Rockets or Knicks.

So basically you spout off a bunch of garbage and now your pissy when shytted on. Excuse me in advance for not being around for one of your "classic" self indulgent page long responses from you filled with corny 80's metaphors and played jokes.

the rockets did it just so the knicks will struggle with the deal or back off. from what i've heard the wolves put some sort of a poison pill into the batum deal for the blazers but not like the structural abnormality of the lin contract. the blazers office and the wolves office seem to despise each other though so the blazers will wait until the last minutes of that batum contract and sign it anyway even though they feel that batum is getting overpaid (i think they are making a mistake there too)

MY GOODNESS... SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

ALL OF YOU...

:umad:

Yes I'm mad....

Carmelo's statement isn't about the money!!! He never said the amount of money Lin was getting was rediculous. He never said Lin's salary was rediculous. He said the "contract" was rediculous. The contract!!!! And he qualified the statement in the rest of the interview.

It's amazing how some of you even made it through college with the low level of reading comprehension in here. The structure of the contract is absurd! The fact that he's getting paid so much in the 3rd year when he hasn't proved much of anything is not the MAIN issue, just the cherry on top.

What justifies a 200% raise in the third year.... 200 PERCENT?!?! The only reason is to f- over the Knicks.

But with that said... We don't know who to blame.

If Houston just really wants Lin.... then good for them. They figured out a way to do it. If Lin was just trying to squeeze more money out, but really wanted to play for the knicks, then good for you man. Get your money, but you won't be playing for the Knicks. Did you not look at their salary cap situation, you idiot?

But no matter who is to blame... the structure of the contract is rediculous, mostly because this type of thing is unprecedented. Show me another contract structured like this. PLEASE!!!

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
Houston will enjoy
National exposure back on abc on Sundays, back to all the Chinese fans who came out to see Yao, wil sell out every game on the road highest selling jersey.

The Knicks could have easily got rid of their bloated contracts two years from now if they wanted, this is the same bum ass knicks team that gave Jerome James 49 mill after a little playoff run with Seattle

The same Knicks team that gave Allan Houston a average sg who never avg 20ppg a 100 million deal. The same Knicks team who gave eddy curry a big ass deal, the same owners who themselves signed brad Richards to a front loaded deal in the NHL where he made 12 million dollars this year and screwed other teams who didn't have that much cap space for year one

An now they are screaming fiscal responsibility

Don't kill me

These divas are hating on the player and not the game...not cool :yeshrug:
Melo wasn't hating on Lin's MONEY.

He was talking about the Rockets trying to fukk the Knicks with the contract STRUCTURE they offered Lin.

And this is more proof that it's not about the MONEY.... it's about the structure of the contract. Because they want to sign him.... But it's just gonna obliterate their salary cap.

So now they're in a very difficult situation... and it's even more rediculous because they made the change to make it even worse at the last minute.
