I don't understand this. He's suppose to play for pennies? He's not suppose to get the most paper he can get? This is part of what Emp is talking about. I never seen a situation where dudes both players and fans are going ham on a dude tryna make as much cake as he can. Where is this arrogance you speak of? What would have made Lin loyal in your eyes? The Knicks were the ones who told him to go looking for a deal

. The team can't ask you to seek out a deal than get mad as fukk when it's too rich for your blood. You make an offer first and than put the decision on him, that way you can see all that loyalty bullshyt.
MY GOODNESS... SHUT THE HELL UP!!!
ALL OF YOU...
Yes I'm mad....
Carmelo's statement isn't about the money!!! He never said the amount of money Lin was getting was rediculous. He never said Lin's salary was rediculous. He said the "contract" was rediculous. The contract!!!! And he qualified the statement in the rest of the interview.
It's amazing how some of you even made it through college with the low level of reading comprehension in here. The structure of the contract is absurd! The fact that he's getting paid so much in the 3rd year when he hasn't proved much of anything is not the MAIN issue, just the cherry on top.
What justifies a 200% raise in the third year.... 200 PERCENT?!?! The only reason is to f- over the Knicks.
But with that said... We don't know who to blame.
If Houston just really wants Lin.... then good for them. They figured out a way to do it. If Lin was just trying to squeeze more money out, but really wanted to play for the knicks, then good for you man. Get your money, but you won't be playing for the Knicks. Did you not look at their salary cap situation, you idiot?
But no matter who is to blame... the structure of the contract is rediculous, mostly because this type of thing is unprecedented. Show me another contract structured like this. PLEASE!!!
