Like I said Dolan had no issues signing brad Richards to a front loaded deal and fukkn over Dallas stars etc

So because he did it to someone else.... he should accept the deal and take the hit? :dwillhuh:
If he knows he's being screwed over, then he should walk away... The Knicks have wasted enough money in the past and present. How about they start making better decisions?

And I don't really know who brad richards is, so I don't know if he was worth it. Could you let me know his performance and the details of his contract please?

Edit: And has anybody thought about what happens if he regresses? All this potential money is GONE and the Knicks are in an even deeper hole than they are now.

So I just looked up the deal...

Just to start my point... I'm gonna assume that Brad Richards is one of the top players in the league considering he is now the highest paid player.

But with that said.... YOU'RE AN IDIOT.

These two contracts are nothing alike.
Year 1: 12m
Year 2: 12m
Year 3: 9m
Year 4. 8.5m
Year 5: 8.5m
Year 6: 7m
Years 7-9: 1m

It looks like they're paying him top dollar now... and reducing his pay yearly. And I would assume that his production would also gradually decline as he gets older... and 7 years from now who knows how productive he'll be. It's not like they're paying him 20 million this year, then paying him 7 mil right after that, just because they know the Dallas stars couldn't afford the first year. That would be just as rediculous.

Jeremy Lin's contract TRIPLES in year 3....lol. It triples man!!!... lmao

Edit: but the suggestion fo the Outback Safari in DR was great though. Preciate it fam.

I never said they are alike, I said the rangers which are owned by Dolan had no problem paying brad Richards a guy who is not even a top ten player in he league the highest salary this year.

The nhl has a hard cap and by the rangers felt loading the deal it fukked over his previous team as they couldn't afford to pay 24 mill the first two years of the contract

Only difference Houston did is backloaded the deal to screw the Knicks

Exact same with the Richards deal except it was front loaded.

Knicks could have matched and har the next two years to get under the luxury tax cap but nah

Underrated part of this story: Houston is actually going to have to pay Lin $14M in that 3rd year. Yikes. I hope that shyt works out. :russ:

What's so funny? Even though it's 14 mill teams love expiring contracts if Lin doesn't work out they just flip his expiring contract to the many teams who would love a 14 mill expiring contract.

And in 2014/2015 they only have 3 guys under contract making like 6 mill total

the money isnt an issue

either way the Knicks are handcuffed with Melo, Amare and Tysons deals....the Lin money cant be used on anyone else...CP3 is a pipedream

Basically it comes down to the Knicks not thinking Lin fits what they're trying to do. And what I gather its to put complimentary pieces around Melo and let him do him. I just dont think that's going to work.

Everything out of MSG before Houston changed the offer said Lin was coming back. Mike Woodson himself said that he fully expected Lin to be the starter next season.

especially seeing as how Lin is making more then JR and Mayo guys who we all know are better. I'm waiting on Lin to become a bust. Dragic and Lowry were better PGs and the Rockets let them go to sign Lin and damn Asik.

What is Houston doing?

Lets be real here.....i'm an Ovinton J'Anthony stan, but right now I think Lin has the potential to be better than Mayo and definitely JR. JR is a gunner who does not understand basketball. He does not play the game smartly. How many games did he shoot the Knicks out of last year? Why was he brought back? He sucks. And ,y boy Ovinton J'Anthony, he isn't a PG although he wants to be one. He just doesn't have the explosiveness to be a star. He is a very solid player. Not that Lin is a star, but his production was real. There is a chance he flops in Houston, but lets not act like JR is a good player. He has never added value to his team like that. OJ might be a good starting 2 or first guard off the bench.

There is a lot of hate for the boy Lin.....I'm not a believer in Linsanity, but I think he was very solid and was good for the Knicks outside of Melo and JR......2 ballhoggin gunners.

I think I understand the incessant need of people in SOHH/Coli to defend Melo. He's overweight, a narcissist, and has portrayed himself as some kind of thug in the past. The trifecta for a lot of the members here :mjpls:

To mentor?

Doesn't matter Knicks are irreverent yet again, linsanity was the only reason most folks were checking for them

Now they are not even the best team in their city, capped out with selfish players none who play defense cept their center.

Felton is a scrub, and Jason Kidd will prob drive into another telephone pole
