If blacks were a big enough demographic and had more power, all these politicians would be knee deep in demanding reparations. They're only tiptoeing around it because blacks do not have a big enough vote to make up for the many non-blacks who oppose raparations. It's that simple.

This is true for the GOP, but Dems can't win without us. They are stuck. They don't want to cater to us because liberal whites have latent racist feelings towards us. As long as we are quiet and vote Dem, it's all good. When we seek our slice of the pie, it's a problem.

My only concern is that Russian trolls are real. Reparations is a real issue but Russian/Trump bots ARE ALSO HOPING that #ADOS latches onto this and splits the Dems.

We gotta push for our share of the pie, but letting Trump win is not going to help our cause if gets to appoint more judges.

Further proof that you're a fukking agent and an idiot who is just using the ADOS movement for daps and don't know wtf you're talking about. The ados101 website that you've been posting has HR40 as one of its agenda items.

Bro none of what you posted has shyt to do with good policies like Medicare for All.

M4A won't address the racial wealth gap. DUH. No one is saying that. But it is still a good policy.

News flash, REPARATIONS WON'T AFFECT THE RACIAL WEALTH GAP OR RACISM EITHER.

Source: Slavery reparations are workable and affordable

The racial wealth gap has more to do with the inherited bias against black people by people who are in control of hiring and deciding salaries more than anything. There's not much you can do to legislate that away in a capitalistic society. One of the few things that would actually erase the wealth gap is getting rid of capitalism altogether in favor of socialism.

Trying to make arguments against free education, medicare 4 all, universal child care, etc. by saying they won't help blacks is just completely idiotic.

Bernie's entire argument is that M4A, free college and universal child care = rising tides lift all boats.

He recoiled from mere mention of reparations or any program that directly target blacks. That's him saying he's not going to be doing shyt that's solely for the Black community when he gets in office. Who's side are you on again :gucci: And yes....he did say his programs would help people as a whole, meaning his programs would help black people more than any talk about Reparations. It won't. And I just told you why. The black kid still gotta graduate, still gotta compete in the workforce, still gotta deal with being shortchanged in every facet of American society. My scholarship paid 75% of my tuition. I was still a nikka upon graduation. And no, you cant legislate away racist practices in society....that's why you have programs to combat it :stopitslime: Remember this is the same cracka saying the US government has money for wars and billion dollar tax cuts for the rich so they have money for his particular policies....yet at the mere mention of "Reparations" he gets :picard:

This guy gets it.

Let's not lose focus on the magnitude of reparations either. A truly beneficial reparation program is going to cost TRILLIONS. With an S! You cannot name one other government funded initiative that will cost TRILLIONS except for the defense budget. Convincing the rest of the country to dedicate trillions just for black people is going to be hard sell no matter how much we truly deserve it. Republicans know this, which is why they hope, wish, and push for this to become a wedge issue in the elections. Make the dems promise something they probably cannot achieve politically or anger their most loyal base. It's a win win politically for the right.

Buddy saw some shyt that democrats are doing and thought he could get daps by immediately shytting on it, not knowing it's something that's listed on the ados101 website. Shameful shyt.

Medicare 4 All, Free Higher Education, Universal Child Care, Criminal Justice Reform, etc, as a whole would absolutely help black people more than a check being cut from the government. All these initiatives also have a greater chance of being supported by a majority of the people. Reparations also would not absolve the problems that you are discussing about Free Higher Education.

Not a Bernie bro but folks been misrepresenting him on reparations when all he's guilty of is raising valid questions about the specifics of reparations. Even on here for all the talk on ADOS and reparations, there's been very little talk on specifics. I'm not certain reparations should even be an agenda worth fighting for if you dont have any idea about what it is you demand. There at least needs to be some consensus on the subject. You cant demand something that hasn't been specified.

If specifics is the issue, why isn’t Bernie expressing his support for HR 40, which will help bring specifics on what reparations for ADOS will entail and how it should be distributed? He’s not a congressman, but he can still vocalize support for the bill, at the least.

Text - H.R.40 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act

HR 40 isn’t a new bill either. It’s been introduced every year since 1989. Instead Bernie is pushing Clyburn’s 10-20-30 plan, which is not the same as reparations for ADOS.

10|20|30 Formula to Fight Persistent Poverty | Congressman James E. Clyburn

I still support Bernie but he needs a much better answer than what he gave (he sounds dismissive, even if it’s probably not his intent). In addition, the JUST Act—which helps bring reparations to holocaust survivors and/or their heirs—passed the senate barely two years ago via unanimous consent (no one opposed) and it became law last year. But when it comes reparation for ADOS, it’s “what does that mean?” As if the US government hasn’t done reparations packages before.

Summary of S. 447: Justice for Uncompensated Survivors Today (JUST) Act of 2017 - GovTrack.us

He’s still the front runner but this issue gonna be a thorn on his campaign. More candidates will hit him on this issue, as Castro has done.

I've asked this of several people and gotten only one (non-definitive) answer: Do you believe that the Democrat nominee for president would WIN if they have reparations for black folks as a specific, explicit part of their platform? Do you believe enough white, Hispanic, and Asian voters would stick with the Dem nominee in that scenario?

@DEAD7 was the only person who would even answer and he didn't even say yes, he just said it's possible.

I support reparations for slavery, Jim Crow, and all the evil that whites have done since then. But would the Democrat win in 2020 if that's an official campaign promise from them? I do not believe so.

Members of ADOS gang here have already admitted that they want Trump re-elected to "punish" America. Castro and Oprah's spiritual advisor (:mjlol:) are not serious candidates. They stand no chance of getting the nomination. At all. They are hitting Bernie with friendly fire because he is the most popular candidate declared and the wealthy donor class is scared to death of him. Biden is waiting in the wings if this attempt to squeeze Bernie out works.

NO ONE will ask Biden about reparations. And if someone somehow does, he'll give the same bullshyt hand-waving non-answer Obama gave in 2008.

And again, I SUPPORT reparations. I believe it can be accomplished but it has to be on the sly or else Cacs, Latinos, and Asians will allow Orange Hitler to get re-elected in '20. If that happens, Trump will be able to stack the supreme court with fascists so they can rule reparations is unconstitutional. Then there will NEVER be reparations.

It's chess, not "fukk that, Bernie and only Bernie needs to promise money to black people and only black people so he can lose."

And that's all I'm going to say in this thread because we've learned recently that TLR is full of Germans pretending to be black militants. :russ:
