It's a farce. I have come across jobs that basically that want Spanish and don't involve international work, and when you look at the hiring manager it's a fukking Mexican or white. The Mexican is just a racist. Asking someone to speak Spanish in this country for most managerial and entry level jobs is ridiculous because these jobs generally serve those who can speak English. The requirement is broadly used to discriminate against non-Hispanics and non-whites. If as many jobs ridiculously required Japanese as require Spanish, I guess no one would be able to work but Asians, right? Well that's what happening.

The language requirement should be taken to court as a proxy for racial discrimination and outlawed. This fukkery is only happening because of the illegals.

While there are positions that indeed require the knowledge of a second language, in many cases it is used as a means to keep blacks out of certain jobs. I've seen teaching jobs (California, specifically) that are non ESL but REQUIRED you to speak Spanish. That is ridiculous.

I have met people who have lived in America for DECADES and still can't speak a lick of English Lets be real. They don't bother to learn because they don't have to. We cater to them.

I don't live in the US, but yes of course it would be good if they learned more english. BUT if you wanna complain about jobs requiring spanish don't attack hispanic immigrants, people just realized that their is money to be gained by doing business with them.
