You were smart to plan people just go out there. This is the rainy year in Colombia so before the normal rainy period was over it would rain most days. Not that polite London Rain hard core thunderstorms and rains that lasted all night and ruined people’s plans.

It’s like being in another country. There’s salsa there but way more Rock n espanol there. No good pacifico ( Colombian soul food) restaurants to speak of Cold antiseotic but orderly rudest people in Colombia but good infestructure and a lot to do.
did you go on island excursions in Cartagena how much was it?

I went on the Rosario island tour, that was about £30 ish. Definitely recommend but bring meds if you are sea sick

I never been to Carty so I don’t know Cali has way more crime than Cartagena but there’s not been cases Ive heard of of taxis robbing people or setting them up to be robbed

Medellin is much more dangerous for tourists in my estimation If you’re looking for hoes
Outside of that the issue seems to be in the Tourist trap of Parque Llreas and even that’s being fixed.
