How's the food
How expensive was your stay
Is it a safe destination
Food was really good. I had traditional Colombian food every single day in some way shape or form. It also has a lot of similarities to Jamaican food so I was into it. It does need some spice though. I assumed all ethnic food has a kick to it. You can ask for hot sauce tho.

Stay wasn’t too expensive stayed in a hotel in El Poblado while in Medellin and stayed Getsêmani in Cartegena. The night scene in Getsamani is lit on a Friday/Saturday night parties down every alley way on every corner. That’s not where the hoes hang out tho. You gotta go to the club to find them, they will be looking for you there.

I felt very safe especially as 2 women strolling around. I didn’t feel threatened at any point. I didn’t have to be hyper vigilant just be generally cautious.

Okay You’re a Girl that went with another Girl that is your friend. That clears up a lot.

Black Man’s Travel kinda been on a anti Colombia tear responding to videos where Black women have been robbed in Taxis in Carty specifically.

I never been to Carty so I don’t know Cali has way more crime than Cartagena but there’s not been cases Ive heard of of taxis robbing people or setting them up to be robbed

Did you have any safety concerns or do you think the whole safety issue is overblown.

Medellin is much more dangerous for tourists in my estimation If you’re looking for hoes

Outside of that the issue seems to be in the Tourist trap of Parque Llreas and even that’s being fixed.

I didn’t feel unsafe at any point. Nothing caused alarm or made me clutch my purse. We took Ubers everywhere because they are tracked, I only took a taxi once in Medellin and that’s because there was no Ubers available. But absolutely nothing raised cause for concern.

Go to Cartagena on a bachelor trip and not smash a whore, brehs
She’s a chick.

There’s a ton of talk trying to keep women away from the Hoe towns. I’ve talked to Black women travelers and other than repats Women understand they certainly don’t want to called out for their tricking so other than the lightest digs at some old ass Man with a tatted up Thot usually women keep it cute on the issue.

The coolest ones are cool with nikkas talking freely and the tricking becomes a normal roastfest if nikkas is overly simpin.

Which city was the most exoensive?

Shot in the dark a friend asked me for some Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee in Colombia.

I told him I cant see them importing much coffee even though they may have some around here somewhere.

There’s gotta be some in London that can be sent to Thailand.

Yeah if your out super drunk you might get rolled anywhere But nobody’s really gonna fukk with women like that. I think homie maybe concern trolling a bit.

Back in the day I thought Colombia was superviolent until I learned otherwise.

shyt is exactly like Jamaica Go to Flankers and you’ll die go to Ironshore or the Hip Strip and you’d be totally safe in Mo Bay.

The World, but from BK
Lol, this thread topic comes up a few times a year on here. I went to the spots mentioned 12 years ago. Here is my take:
- Cartegena had a lot of black folks there due to it being a former slave port and folks just settling there. The infrastructure at the time was a little. rough. Constant flooding when it rained, but it seemed to be the norm, so people kept it moving. Old cartegena was cool, and food was really cheap due to the USD conversion was so much more. Very laid back. I went jetskiing out there and almost jetskiied to Trinidad. The people who ran the rental had to chase me down in the ocean and told me to turn back.
- Medellin was great too, pretty spread out. We took the trains from one side of the city to the other, then cable cars up in the favelas. The trains were so much better than NYC trains. Medellin is hilly. Its a major city along with Bogata, both have a mix of everything. To me, the thing Bogota had over Medellin was more of an art scene. I'm more into that stuff. We also was outside a soccer stadium in Medellin with 2 local teams playing against each other and saw fight happening outside.
Also was with my wife, so no hookers. I do remember though, french fries is offered with damn near all meals. We went to a few fancy spots, but the best was in Bogota. Me and the wife had damn near all their best cuts of meat, good drinks and the bill was only $75USD. Also, at the time I went, you had to know Spanish to get a better feel of things. I'm sure a lot has changed out there since 2013.

I like to Jet ski on Lakes because I would wild out too. I can see them being dangerous. I would 100% go so far out that I needed to be towed back. Jet skiing in the ocean could be tricky because I’m defenitely crashing waves and speeding.

I’m gonna buy a Jet ski soon.

The flooding still happens from time to time Global warming and not spending money updating the sewers and sea walls.

Dont know why cable cars go to the hoods same in Cali It goes to the worse hood in the city

Be honest if wifey wasn’t there would hookers be there?

Have the passport bros ruined it for black men from America? I was in Bogata and Carta in 2017 and had a blast. Didn’t even trick since I was there with a mixed crowd of friends and family. I was prepositioned a bunch though.

That’s before the passport bros blew up the spot so I’m curious how it is now.
