I'm more surprised at Breaking Bad catching anyone's attention from the go. Breaking Bad to me didn't come out good until it turned into a criminal drama, the beginning when it was threading that pseudo comedy line was pretty bad, and I only stuck with it cause my girl was laughing at them stupid scenes. In fact, I like Breaking Bad because its evolution is one of the most radical ones from a series I remember.

It's one of my favorite shows now. I understand, in some rare cases, you have to be patient with a show. I was expecting instant gratification because of how much I see the show praised everywhere. I guess this will be a slow burn. Thanks for the input breh. Truly appreciated. .

Well when u watch more of the series you will see it’s about more than just “project nikkas in Baltimore dealing heroin” you will see that yes it starts with that, yes....but then they move on to the corrupt police force, and then the ship yard and the dirty drama behind that shyt, then the failed publicschool system, corrupt politicians and the. The Baltimore sun newspaper.. it’s about soooo much more than that and it gets DEEP.and if u and 5 other cool guys think it’s boring, maybe y’all just don’t have great taste .... the show has been called one of the best since the year 2000. And there a ton of truth behind the show. I just feel like u jumped to conclusions on the show too soon

The Wire is the very definition of slow burn but that is great as it also has some of the best characters and you as the watcher are rewarded with deep character development over the other seasons.

I rewatched the entire series last week and I never realized how slow and boring the first season was but you will like it once it all comes together.

Don't forget Herc is a problem too, to concerned with stats and knocking nikkas heads off. At the end of season 1 it's like why Carver did Herc like that bit when you get down to it Carver was better for it. Prez at least was good in office just dont ever give him a gun he at least had the office work as a redeeming quality. Herc had zero redeeming qualities.

It's boring me to sleep. I'm through the first 6 episodes and it's not immediately catching my attention like Breaking Bad or Boardwalk Empire or The Sopranos did. They show the Police too much and the shyt is super predictable and boring. It's supposed to be one of the best series ever and I really wanna give it a chance. Season 2 is one of the most boring seasons in television history. It was a fukking chore to get through. Season 5 was ass cheeks too. Only season 4 was good imo
