Yea, I think that's where stuff gets mixed up, thats on the media and the "machine". Kai from what I remember skimming was never the "hip hop" guy. He made headlines 2-3 years ago for hitting 100k subs on twitch. That was all off the strength of gaming and doing random shyt from what I remember in the articles. Then he caused a riot or something in NYC when he did a giveaway. He got so big w/o all the industry shyt and tapped in to the younger generation the labels had rappers and shyt come sit with him for a boost. Now he part of the media rollout for various rappers/actors/entertainers. Hell he even had Kamala trying to lock in with him(he turned her down).

If you were outside for a certain era, its hard to understand how little the next generation knows about said era because you were so deep in it. Ross is an internet troll and basically a cartoon character at this point. Meek been in high profile mess after mess the last decade.
