did you two ever collab?

Naw, he was one of those dudes that did not want to share the knowledge lol. Dude was kind of an egomaniac. He had all the equipment and his studio looked nice as hell. But he was one of those people who was more into the idea of him being a super producer or some shyt than actually collaborating and putting shyt out. All the artist he used to work with, he used to sign to shytty deals to his label and basically work on music with them but never put it out. And the artist didn’t know any better cause they was amazed by how expensive his studio look. He done got more humble over the years but I never collaborated with him

Them Lo Lifes...
I fux with Ye.

But really Pharrell is on another level genius compared to Kanye.

Yet If I could only listen to one discography, honestly it would be Ye's.

It's hard to compare the two and they're geniuses in their own lane.

Plus these two are literally the reason why I wanted to be a producer

smh

I'll give Pharrell the slight edge b/c coming up with you're own chords requires more musical knowledge, which made the neptunes discography much more diverse

but flipping sample requires a ton of creativity, esp the way kanye flips his samples.

If you ask me Kanye + mike dean are right up there with Pharrell + Chad.

My nygga, u posted trash..lmaooo

Its proof that Ye aint just a Rap nikka, though. :jawalrus:

This is no comparison. Compare what you just posted to what The Neptunes did for Usher, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Kelis, and Beenie Man.You posted some bonus songs or songs that really didn't have an impact on the careers of those artists.

Never said that they were hit records. Its simply proof that Ye has the ability to transcend rap, just like Pharrell. :yeshrug:

As did Ye.

Those songs you posted transcended nothing. All it proved is that he worked with artists outside of Hip Hop. They didn't exactly transcend whereas you take their work with the artists I posted, those were huge songs and moments not some obscure songs that never made a dent.

You're missing the point. Forget about "impact" or "hits" or whatever.

I'm focusing solely on Ye's ability to create music that isn't just "Rap nikka" shyt.

Which he has done multiple times, as my post has proven.
