Everybody else in entertainment does a better job and hiding it. You think Tom Cruise isn't walking around talking about how he's the universe?

I've actually heard that Cruise, shockingly, is very down to earth and polite when you meet him. But I can't explain the Scientology crap. Look at the way he destroys this dude who squirts him with water for a prank without raising his voice. I can't even imagine how Kanye would've acted.

I remember an interview years ago with him where he said he's that way b/c he really has low confidence, and him being over the top with his ego allows him to operate better.

I agree with this. It almost feels like Kanye is trying to convince himself of the wild shyt he's saying. If you watch him in an interview he doesn't have the most confident look in his eye. He seems really insecure.

I think what Kanye West is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period. By a long jump. I honestly feel that because Steve has passed, you know, it’s like when Biggie passed and Jay-Z was allowed to become Jay-Z.

Hahaha Kanye is outta control.

You Steve Jobs now breh? :beli:

Kayne is a real smart dumb motherfukker. We all know he was in that slow class :yeshrug:

This idiot trying to compare himself to titans of industry like Ford, Hughes, Jobs.:stopitslime:

You make hip-pop music breh :beli:

Real talk Jay-Z is still way bigger than Kanye in every way imaginable. He even admitted he need Jay to be next to him on tour :sadcam:

Dude was trolling his ass of with the Steve Jobs comparisons :dead:.
It's okay to say it in a song, but in an interview...

Like I said in another post he's a method actor, he goes into the role of the music he's releasing. From backpacks to tuxes and golden girls to suited up to rockstar.

People take it to seriously, I see it all as entertainment. The only question I have is if he changes his personality first and then creates the music or vice versa.

Kanye comes off arrogent yes, but Steve Jobs was the same kind of a$$hole. I believe Kanye is comparing himself because Jobs didn't give a shyt what anyone thought about him. There is no denying that Kanye in the past 10 years has had a significant impact on the current hip-hop music scene.

Look at Apple since Jobs died, the vision at the company has stalled. Kanye paved the lane for guys like Kendrick and A$ap to come through and not have to be hard. Beanie Sigel even had his side comments about Kanye, but wtf is he doing now? Simply put, 99% of these rappers don't have half the work ethic as Kanye.

This was asked but not fully explained.
Ki.m stealing used condoms.
Ye is paranoid about catching deadly stds since he already has herpes. It drives him insane because he really does think hes untouchable in his hyped up mind. So any type of dieases/sickness he dont want to mess with it.
So when hes out on the road and not seeing Ki.m im assuming he makes her get tested when he comes back to LA or NYC. When hes around for a good amount of time I guess they dont use protection and he raw dogs it. I heard he was the same way with Am.ber

Steve Jobs started a company that is worth 500 billion and had a colossal impact in two different decades. Kanye is a rapper who will never outsell nor out earn his big brother

That was a dope ass interview.....

It's clear as day that dude still hasn't healed from his mother passing.....like....I don't think dude has given himself time to mourn.....

Do you feel like “808s” is the album of yours that has had the most impact?

There are people who have figured out the exact, you know, Kanye West formula, the mix between “Graduation” and “808s,” and were able to become more successful at it. “Stronger” was the first, like, dance-rap song that resonated to that level, and then “808s” was the first album of that kind, you know? It was the first, like, black new wave album. I didn’t realize I was new wave until this project. Thus my connection with [the graphic designer] Peter Saville, with Raf Simons, with high-end fashion, with minor chords. I hadn’t heard new wave! But I am a black new wave artist.

Someone made a thread saying this....

Center self, inner self
I just wish he could recalibrate all his angst and fighter spirit and aim it at who it needs to be aimed at instead of fukking music award committees...then he could make a difference for someone other than himself

Just imagine Pac's passion and intelligence wasted on being mad at not getting 5 mics every album
I mean it still kind of did get wasted but you know what I mean

:wow: New sig!

Never knew Ye was a hooper like that

I read in another interview that after the Taylor Swift incident, he went to his home in Hawaii and balled like every day, lived a simple life. I believe he said that he loved playing basketball.

Ya but Tom Cruise's demeanor is exactly why hes sketchy. Hes way too calm and collected, like hes 10 xanax's deep all the time.. and also comes off as really fake. He has the personality of a used car salesmen..

Christian Bale said his primary influence when he was playing Patrick Bateman was Tom Cruise :yeshrug:

SINY!!
Genius breeds eccentricity

Hence, I am not surprised at some of the seemingly bizarre responses to questions.

'Ye is, and forever will be more then a bit of a pretentious, egocentric douchebag, but he has somewhat of a good heart...he's passionate about his craft, and I respect some of what he said here. Turned on some old Kanye for the night, interested to hear the new project, haven't even listened to one track.

:ld:

I too have conceded to the corniness of this promo run and have avoided all the snippets hoping to judge this album on its own merits

Kanye West's whole cocky attitude and ego is annoying. He's easily the most overrated rapper since Jay-Z.
