Nah. What's not in your stat loving is how where you score from opens up the entire offense. KD gets any sort of low post game, everyone has it easier as a result of it.

So KD's jumper doesn't open it up conversely for other post players? :russ:

Put an all time great 3 point shooter on the block to open up shots for inferior 3 point shooters, brehs. :russ:

Who are they on OKC?

Ok so they need post players. That doesn't mean you take your best jump shooter off the perimeter. If anything you should question Serge or Westbrook's post games. KD is right where he needs to be and has another scoring title to prove it.

There's 2 ways to score, from distance or up close. Those who can't score from distance need to find a way to score up close. A post game helps this. KD can score from distance so he has no need to get close. Marksmen don't stab people?

People who don't have that consistent jumper like LeBron need post games. Jordan needed a post game. They needed a way to get closer to the basket, where they're more accurate. KD is like, "Oh 25 feet? Yeah I'm good from here." And he usually is.

Then on top of that he added the dribble drive and usually it's the other way around. The Iversons and D Roses trying to add a jumper to compliment their drive and keep defenders honest. KD already had the wet J, now he's blowing by kids and yammin in 2 steps when they close out too quick. And they must close out. Because he's a pure shooter who can pull up from 30. fukk a post game, he's dominating the league and getting to the line because his jumper is good from as far as the wood floor stretches. He doesn't need to get as close because he's an elite shooter. Object of offense is put the ball in the net. Nobody does that better than Durant.

I don't care who you are, jump shots aren't going to fall as often as shots from the low post.
Especially a team that has no post play

Kd doesn't even need to pound the rock , just get close to the rim and pull up

All he does is run around the perimeter waiting for the ball

Bron used to do this a lot before he started working with Hakeem

yea but Bron weighs 2 metric tons and is US steel certified. Apples and Oranges when comparing KD and Bron basketball development.

I think Leonard at San Antonio could give him the same type of fits.

Here's the thing. The problem isn't his shooting percentage...its that he could have taken at least 7 or 8 moire shots had he not been denied the ball. I don't think teams would be able to trap or deny him the ball knowing he had so many ways to score in his tool box. He needs that.

Kawhi isn't giving KD more trouble than Tony Allen

He needs to put on some muscle in the off-season. At his height it should be impossible to deny him the ball, no matter where he is on the court.

Good point, but they need better offensive schemes and more importantly better offensive players for that to have any real impact. More shots for Fisher, Lamb, Thabo and Perk isn't the answer.

KD is 6-20 for the series when guarded by Tony Allen.

KD seemed pissed when asked by reporters about his inability to post up. His excuse was "eh".

Durant was asked about this particular matter and naturally, he got a bit agitated with how the whole thing is being portrayed, fromDarnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman:

“He’s good,” Durant said. “He’s good at dodging screens. He’s physical. But everybody plays the same way with me.”

Later in his six-minute interview session, Durant was asked why he doesn’t post up more. His response fell somewhere between agitated and defensive.

“Being a taller guy, when these shorter guys guard you, it’s a little tougher because they’re lower to the ground,” Durant said. “They’re quicker. But nobody’s just going to let me sit in the post. They’re going to put two guys on me, one on the backside and one sitting in my lap. So I just got to move around more.”

This is where Durant grew defensive.

“It’s not like I’m just getting totally locked down,” he continued. “But he’s making it tough. It’s the playoffs. Every possession’s going to be tough no matter who we’re playing. But it’s not like I’m just non-existent. I don’t know what you guys have been watching. But he’s making me work, just like everybody else would.”

But according to ESPN Stats & Information, Durant is shooting just 36 percent in this series when guarded by Allen. Against all other defenders, Durant is shooting 56 percent. Durant was 4-for-11 against Allen in Game 2.

@NYC Rebel once again he is right.:salute:

Well, tonight reinforced this
No, tonight reinforced that Durant can't establish a position on the ball if he's got somebody playing him physical. KD has a post game (contrary to popular belief), he just doesn't got down there consistently enough - a) because Brooks doesn't put out appropriate lineups or sets b) Durant is too content with taking outside jumpers.
