Drake has progressed.

He started out as a backpacker nikka shouting out Phonte and rapping over dilla beats to a pop star .The problem with that progression is that his music has gotten progressively worse over the years but his dollars has increased significantly.

How is he progressing as a rapper?

4pm In Calabaas, 2 Birds 1 Stone and Do Not Disturb are some of my favourite Drake rap songs ever.

I feel like it's just a cool internet thing to hate Drake and they're tired of dudes aggresive success over the years. People purposely trying to donwplay the levels

Rappers aren't musicians? :pdahellclean:Have some respect for hip hop Breh :pdahell2:
How is it loaded? Drake's a rapper ain't he?
All these other sounds and international stuff is great, let me ask you again,
How has he progressed as a rapper?:pdahell3:

Drake is both a rapper and a singer and does both on the same track.
Your question is loaded because you're solely asking how Drake is progressing as a rapper whereas the question in OP was "is kendrick progressing while drake isn't?"
So let's break this down.
"Progressing" in regards to what exactly?
Are we talking numbers, critical acclaim or what? :skip:

Going pop is regression. Not progression.

You guys realise that using a co writer for a song doesn't mean you don't have the ability to write at all right? Drake has written hit songs for himself and others.

He's an artist. You guys also realise how much goes into creating music. I'm not sure if you guys are actually stupid to think sh*t is so black and white or you just hate Drake. I'm genuinely interested to know.

Go watch a random interview of producers who've worked with Drake and how amazed they are by dude. I realise dudes ignore all that content but stick to stuff that suits there hate aganda

If you people want to classify drake as a pop artist I have zero issue with his utilizing ghostwriters or whatever. The issue is when he was being pushed as one of the GOATS/the best rapper in the game .

If Drake is a musician so is Katy Perry,Brittney Spears,Jason Derulo and Elvis

Depends on how you view progress.

He started off as a nikka who would only get mentioned on blogs like Nahright and 2DopeBoyz to one of the biggest pop stars on the planet .

His music may have regressed or stagnated to us hip hop nikkas but I doubt lovers of pop music feel the same we do.

Drake, I believe.
I'm yet to hear some lyrical sh*r confirmed Drake had ghost written besides people speculating. Typical Drake style rapping.

But if you dislike Drake you will go down the route that some other random person is more likely to suit that agenda. I get that.

To hip hop forum nerds moreso. In real life hip hop listeners still enjoying Drake rap in their cars, parties etc.

It's like you guys live in some alternate universe sometimes.

:ohhh:

Oh yeah, what instrument does Drake play again?
He plays the " find whatever sound is bubbling in whatever urban hub he wants to tap into, identify the flavor of the month artist and assemble a team to write a verse so Drake can jump on the song and basically hijack the record for himself and take credit for the entire movement, bleed it dry and on to the next" instrument

That's why Drake is a musician :troll:
