You guys need to stop this nonsense that somehow Russell held the same amount of power in Oklahoma City.

Russell and Kevin were near equals on the court.
Literally everywhere else in the organization and in the city of Oklahoma City....Durant was king.

Don't play stupid.
Durant had tremendous pull. If he was unhappy about ANYTHING in OKC, he could have flexed his influence.
And everyone knows it.

Anything Durant was unhappy about in OKC was almost certainly his fault that he didn't change.
Like when the team traded Harden two days before the season started coming off a Finals appearance?

If you think Kevin Durant had the same power at 23 that he did at 27, you're gonna have a bad time.

Cheap ass team had Reggie Jackson too. Lacob spends money. That's how we have Jerry West and Steve Nash as advisor and coach.

Read the article. Presti was a drill Sgt. If you took a water out the cooler it had to be replaced within an hour. You can't have power with a guy like that at the helm.

You come to a Warriors practice and they blasting 2Pac in the background and shyt. That's why he's having fun.

This reply has nothing to do with what I was replying to.

The quote about him not knowing enough about baskeball reinforces what I thought of him before. That's why I always shake my head when he was being mentionned in the same sentence as Lebron. Despite the stats and the fact that I'm a Bron-hater, Durant is not in that category.

Maybe he makes the jump now that he acknowledges it though.

The 2nd best player in the league is gonna have enormous pull, regardless of age. OKC did not care what he felt about their personnel decisions.
There's no way to know that. Nobody is gonna have LeBron-like pull except LeBron. Those were special circumstances. If anything, if players try to operate on some "do this shyt or else" it leads teams to make desperate moves they shouldn't have been making.

Henny bron went down 3-1 to much more flawed Warriors. He and the cavs made an iconic comeback, but if when they go down to a much more talented warriors there won't be anymore comebacks. It'll be more like Budweiser bron
How much more talented could they be? Last years team broke damn near every record and they still lost because all that matters is the last game of the season.

KD got what he wants. The chance to win without it being on his shoulders :yeshrug:. He didn't want to be the guy, didn't want the stress and the pressure, and wanted to go be one of the guys. Cool thing. They'll likely win multiple titles. But as a basketball player he'll never be one of the greatest in the eyes of the people. He'll put up crazy stats but he ran from the challenge. It ain't like Bron when Bron was dragging and pulling garbage teams along, he had a top 5 teammate, a top 5 center and was up 3-1 and was a large reason why his team lost game 6 and 7 because he choked. Then he went to the team that beat him. Glad he's happy, he's just a beta
