The Armor is finally being chipped off kevin durant slowly, he was never the best player in the league at any point, he was never able to lead a team to a championship on his own, choked a 3-1 lead. The only reason he is even relevant is because lebron derangement syndrome and people wanted to use him in their agenda against lebron to diminish him individually. When its just as much a corrupted award if not more espescially given sample size, the fact that voters arent sitting and thinking with what happen and are just voting based on narrative(even more so than in the MVP reg), and various other reasons
we saw first hand how narrative driven and contradictory it can be, by the fact Bron got some votes despite the 15 lost to GS, but 5 years later when Jimmy was doing the same thing, taken the eventual champs to 6 despite injuries hindering them. He didnt get no votes

KD also tried to not play aggressive so Steph could win FMVP then Steph played trash for a few games. Everyone forgot that though
