Don't quote/post your favorite rapper/artist/actor who has some weird Weeknd (in the early days) haircut. Not everyone is a popstar, or can sing/rap. In business, you're expected to look a certain way. The meta talking point, is that it shouldn't matter, so long as productivity is high....but again, we don't live in that utopia.

Well, first I’ll just say anecdotally that one of the board members of my company is fat as shyt

Black men have no standards for our women. Black men do not have standards for themselves and are too tolerable.

I just recently stumbled upon the Kevin Samuels phenomenon.
And while i dont always agree with him on certain things I cant front the way he sons some of these women with pure facts that they cant refute and obliterates some of them with their entitled attitudes is just flat out admirable.
What i love about it is he holds the men accountable too. If you one of them dudes that come at him with the bullshyt acting like women owe you anything he'll check you and show you why you are of no value to women.
Again, i dont always agree (he does have some views that are sexist IMO) I gotta say the shyt he spits are 95% true. Some women are just delusional and unwilling to understand that.

The contrast is readily apparent if he starts accepting more non-Black callers.

A lot of our Black women exude too much masculine energy. They really need to chill with the tattoos.

look up any list of powerful black male corporate executives and tell me how many dreadheads/braids/huge fros you gone see.

Depends on your options, industry, and how valuable you are to the company.

If you are the profit driver and you are damn good at it, most companies in the tech/fast growth industries will not give a fukk. It's usually when you are account managing or client facing with critical partners that this matters.

If you are in the kind of job where "the boss" is a dikk and has that kind of sway obviously you'll have issues. Key is to understand what they really want (conformity) and play the game that way. So you may come in looking "unpresentable" to them, but you cross your Ts, dot all your Is, and do everything well - while always looking for another job after being there a year. This way if they want to use that against you, just leave. You had piece of mind knowing you are good enough to move on. Their loss.
