I dont have an issue with KS. He's the black Phil Donahue. Go get your money. My issue is with his fanbase. Its clear most of his callers male and female dont have their shxt together. So he's not doing an effective job educating as he claims is his goal. Why do his fans feel the desire to defend him so vehemently? That's where the root of the "daddy" argument comes from.

It's like some his fans are acolytes the way they defend him.

That’s a problem, that no one told you how to get a mentor. The “black” community isn’t in a position to be hiding information from one another.

How did you prove your value? Because in my experience, I’ve met a lot of solid brehs, but at the same time other brehs who get off on being the token. Especially in corporate.

The thing is he pushes people into getting coaching through his sessions. From what I heard his sessions are actually good and extremely helpful.
These late night ones are more of making the said caller an “example to the class/audience”based on the topic. I have no problem with it, as these can still be informative depending on the caller.

Yes there’s an entertainment component, but he has to stats to prove he’s putting relationships, (BLACK) relationships together. The women keep calling for advice and he’s getting booked. Whatever he’s doing seems to be working. Divorce 2x or not. Better for ppl to hear this, than not hear it at all.

It’s just weird to me. If you dont like what he’s doing either:

Email him, tell him what he can do better
Make your own channel
Shut the fukk up

If a black man was a fan of Phil Donahue I'd like to know why. Phil Donahue was trash TV that appealed to the lowest common denominator and had the educational value of Jerry Springers final thoughts which is why I compared him to KS content. KS doesn't even primarily talk to BM any more except in a shxt show of a men's week he does on occasion.

When did I insult Kevin? I think his advice is basic. That's not an insult, that's an opinion based on where I am in life. I think he's an excellent entertainer and has a future in TV if he diversifies a Iittle bit. I also believe that some males use his talking points to justify their lack of success with females. Even on the Coli the focus on Bedwenchs is nauseating. Why focus on lost women when there are so many great ones out here? KS talking points are for HVM which based on earnings are statically less than 5% of black men. This means there are likely men using his talking points that don't fiscally qualify to use them. That's delusional.

I've never used the "daddy" insult for KS fans. I agree that it and calling black men fatherless when you don't agree with them is an insult rooted in racist sterotypes. I was attempting to explain why some KS detractors use it and what there intention is. Not that it's okay to do.

You calling me a c00n makes my point about the ease at which some of KS fanbase will start hurling insults when they feel attacked.

Was it the advice I was giving earlier about how black men can seek networking opportunities and get mentors? Or was it in encouraging us to take our place as leaders in our communities and be our best selves?
