Its how it plays, and not a single place has said KZ:SF is better or equal to BF4 or COD Ghost.

Go look that up EVERYBODY. And if they are now saying different? Then go check this out if you only have on choice.
But from what I have read? This game is underwhelming from a gameplay perspective.

Only thing I'm seeing that is kinda dumb is no weapon recoil

I see this statement made a lot. I think for the most part we are applying 1970's weapons vs. "science fiction futuristic weaponry" maybe in the universe of this sci fi shooter they have great tech and built there weapons to not have the recoil of there primivative ancestors. If this was BF4 or COD, I would be on board with you, but since it is a sci fi shooter, I have to check my reality at the door, and live in the world of the creators of said game.

They did mention that they're is no aim assist so it must be some sort of balance.

SP will run at an unlocked framerate above 30fps.

It's probably going to be mostly 35-40 or something since it wouldn't make sense to leave it unlocked if it was close to 60 with frequent drops to 30 i.e. looking at the sky and then looking back in front of you thus dropping frames. It's going to look lovely as GoW3 ran at a mostly 40-60fps and the motion blur made it look smooth.

people are gonna be talking about screen tearing and uneven framerates though

I thought screen tearing occurs when the fps is higher than the refresh rate? I'm confused because wouldn't tearing be kind of impossible with lower fps especially if people are playing on what are 60hz displays? I'd think a lower fps than 60 would introduce stuttering but that's dependent upon how often it happens like a big explosion or something. Wouldn't motion blur make it look smoother even if it's not syncing with the refresh rate ?

well if it's "unlocked" the framerate can go over 60 as well. but I've definitely experienced tearing at below my refresh rate

60fps on a 60hz display is one frame per cycle. 30fps on a 60hz display is one frame every two cycles. anything in between is in between, and needs to be buffered (wait for the next cycle) or you get tearing (more than one frame per cycle). these things are lessened on a 120hz display, since there's more cycles to dump frames into. for instance 40fps becomes viable on a 120hz display, at one frame every 3 cycles

you can lessen how much the player notices these things in games with a fixed camera. but in an FPS, where you can look at something rather complicated, and the whip around to look at the sky, it's hard to avoid

these are long standing issues on the PC, where most people are forced into some compromise (usually choosing screen tearing over any input lag). that's the reason g-sync is such a big deal. on the consoles v-sync is pretty standard, mostly because controllers aren't fast enough to notice the input lag anyway. but you're still going to see noticeable stutter as the framerate jumps around

English:
"One of the coolest detailas that Guerilla showed me during the visit earlier in the week was how fast Killzone Shadow Fall starts when you have inserted the disc in the console. From the time when you click on the game icon on the PS4:s internal GUI it only takes 15 seconds (!) for the game to get going. In other Words, 15 seconds before you are on the go and gaming. Something that took several minutes in Killzone 3 (for example)".

it takes literally 15 seconds from the moment you hit play on the PS4 UI until you are in gameplay.

That would mean literally
*Presses X to start Killzone*
.....15 seconds.
*Moving analog in SP*
Obviously in MP it would probably take longer since it would likely have to connect and join but that's fukking fast. Those useless intros are annoying. I delete them whenever I get a chance to on my PC games.

I just made KZ's "death ping" my phone's text message alert :lupe:.

I haven't cared about being good at a shooter in a long ass time, but this game's multiplayer appears to have enough depth to warrant taking the time to get good at it.

Hurry up and bring on the 15th :ahh:

With Xbox one even multiplayer games can start up instantly using smartglass and snap :blessed:
