On Kevin Durant:
"He came back one season and became the toughest matchup I've had to deal with in my entire career outside of Tracy McGrady... When he first came in the league he used to shoot across from his face. So if I'm able to push him right and cut off his driving angles, then I give myself a great chance of stopping him. because it's hard to pull up and shoot going right when you're shooting it from across the side of your face.

Then when he came back all of a sudden that shot moved more to the top of his head, now he's going right; stopping and popping; then he could post up; he could turn left shoulder; he could turn right shoulder, and then it became a serious problem"

On Tracy McGrady:
"He could do everything... I told him, 'bro you could do everything I could do on the court, but you were 6"10'. Literally everything. He had no weaknesses--offensively or defensively. He was a nightmare to guard"

But the stats and numbers say your toughest matchup was Lebron. Every time you played him your numbers and percentages dropped drastically. Similar to the way Demar Derozan's numbers drop when facing Lebron. It's why struggled to beat him time after time after time after time again. He pretty much owned your entire life and outplayed you every single time.

I wonder how many rings Demar would have won with Prime Shaq if this was all he had to put up.....He would probably be looked at in a different light

2000 NBA Finals

Shaq- 38 PPG, 17 RPG, 2.5 APG, 2.7 BPG, 61% FG 96/157----6 games
Kobe-16 PPG, 5 RPG, 4 APG, 1.4 BPG, 36% FG%, 33/90----5 games

2001 NBA Finals

Shaq- 33 PPG, 16 RPG, 5 APG, 3.5 BPG, 63/110 57% FG-----5 games
Kobe- 24 PPG, 8 RPG, 6 APG, 1.4 BPG, 44/106 41% FG------5 games

How does any of that show that Bron was a harder guy to defend? Was Kobe sticking Bron all the time in those games?

Kobe talking about who was the hardest to defend 1 on 1 and you bringing in stats with no context at all.
